Edmiston Drive got a reaction from .Williamson. in Our Game in Vienna
This game will bring back memories of 1964 when we faced the return game leading 1-0
comfortably leading 0-2 agg. 0-3 on a cold night that showed Jim Baxter at his best when with minutes tae go their fullback broke Jim's leg because he has tormenting them all night with his superb skills.
So a wee thought of this great Ranger should be given at game end
??????????

Last couple of years we have lost points to the so called diddy teams at home. So we’ve certainly made a great improvement and closed the mythical gap.
If we can take the majority of points from the bigger teams at home I think that’ll be the difference between challenging for the league and 55.

He looks decent too. But there's no chance he would get much game time, if any if he stayed with us. It's a good move for his career.

Edmiston Drive reacted to Aubie92 in Wallace, Rossiter and Grezda
Wallace hasn't performed well at a high level since before we were demoted. I can't honestly remember his form in 2011/12, but he was good for Hearts in 2009/10 and then injured for much of the season in between. (That's not a knock on him - just pointing out that the years have gone in since he was considered arguably the best full back in Scotland besides Saša Papac.) Since then I don't think he was great in the lower leagues - he wasn't shite either, but he didn't look out of place with the rest of an underwhelming Rangers side - bar one season under Warburton, and has had issues with injuries. Seems unlikely that a 31 year old with injury issues is going to be able to wind the clock back whilst also raising his game to perform well at a higher level.
A few years ago he'd have given Barišić a run for his money, true, but I think you'd need to be a big fan of Lee Wallace and very optimistic to think he can challenge Borna for a starting berth now. He'll be doing well to cement himself as second choice, and would probably still feature a fair bit by doing so. Even that's going to be a challenge for him though.

Another striker is required but the January window is perhaps not the best time to buy. However i will leave that decision in the capable hands of S.G. whose dealings in the market have thus far been quite remarkable. The exception being (so far) Sadiq but to get so many successes with all his other deals is astonishing.

A permanent move, ED; sold for an undisclosed fee, so he is available to play against us, unlike Hardie who can't.

You need to move McCrorie into defence / midfield mate ?

Best part of the Gerrard interview?
For me it was when he was talking about Ross McCrorie...
‘He’s not the finished article yet, so it’s important that I manage him right, AND I WILL DO’.
It’s not because of the player in particular, it’s simply the confidence of Gerrard and his recognition that his job is to manage players!
Im stating the obvious I know, but I liked that comment very much indeed.

Not only that, he does it in a constructive manner with a positive outlook for the long term. He knows exactly what he wants, how and when he wants to achieve it.
