  1. thought defensively we were ok, but 2 things worried me. 2 or 3 times Tav was drawn inside and left a wide open forward on his own and was bailed out by a bad pass. Hopefully the boss shows him the video and nips that in the bud. And the other was for us still to have problems defending set pieces despite being a much bigger side than last year. Hopefully that is due to players not knowing each other as it is early doors. I wasnt expecting much offensively as its mainly the same players as last season and we did not do well against packed defenses last season.
  2. IMO you pick he best team available especially at this stage of the year. If that means they play then so be it
  3. just wanted to see what the lay of the land was back home. My brother actually proposed the lion brand but to be honest I looked them up and wasnt impressed, plus they didnt have the kids sizes anyway. Id much rather ket the twins the official gear but if there was a concerted effort still against Ashley then I just wanted to do the right thing
  4. been a bear since I was old enough to walk, this year its 40 years since my first game. The kids are old enough now that they take an interest in what im watching on the illegal feeds on the weekends, so I think now is the time for their first strips
  5. thanks guys. Well, thanks to most of you anyway lol. Authentic it is.
  6. Live in the usa and have 4 year old twins. Want to get them their first Rangers tops this Xmas but cant find anything on the lionbrand website that would fit. Club website has stuff but I dont want to feed Ashley. Any tips would be appreciated.
  7. utterly miserable night, no sleep at all. However amidst all of that, still the sense of wonder in the little miracle we have been blessed with

  8. well, down to 194lbs of a lean,. mean, daddy machine!

  9. Shit, New York looks like it's been invaded by the Americans (Frankie Boyle) lol

  10. 50 degrees!!!. Brrrrr

  11. The scales at the doctors last night said I am down to 196lbs. So they must be right, it will be my scales at home that aren't calibrated properly...

  12. Love the look of total confusion on the kids faces when I refer to their packed lunch as their 'playpiece'

  13. proud of my Tigers this weekend, however this turns out, that was 2 outstanding performances (bar one half inning) to beat the Yankees twice on their home patch

  14. thought we had a case with the first potential pen, but not the second. YOu never see those given nowadays
  15. thought he had a crackin game. I think the fact that he was a top class sportsman helps him. Seems to talk with the players so nothing gets out of hand. I have thought he has been our best ref for the last year or two
  16. always thought George Salmond would be the next top referee in Scotland. Better than the tosh we got in the SPL
  17. Portland need some creativity in their midfield before they go after another striker
  18. agree totally, not sure Id make him manager of the year but not to be in the top 3 is scandellous
  19. From what I understand, as a newco we would have to register with the SFA. And you know they wont let us in unless we agree to their sanctions. So if we play in 3rd division, there would be fines, we would need to pay all football related debt and 12 months of no signing players (subject to appeal) In my mind, Im all for that over struggling with repayments and with a young team in the SPL - And I wont shed a tear when the SPL comes crashing down
  20. I have a lot of time for McLeish, however I have to say, the worst football I have seen us play in my 42 years was played under him. And yes, that includes the John Greig years
  21. No, not 75, 25! TV and prize money is REDUCED by 75 per cent. Which is a horse of a different color Im sure you would agree?
  22. My grandad always said none could touch George Niven
