All good points. Agree on certain players seeing last season as the pinnacle. This team had to learn how too win the hard way and went through some really cruel lows along the way.
Not so sure on Gerrard. Don’t think he would have jumped for any team in the Prem. Villa have a brilliant squad and have spent over £300m over the last few years. Compare that against our situation: no buyers for our sellable assets, £120m losses accumulated in 8 years and shopping in the bargain bin for the shite like Simpson, Oboforh, and Wright.
I don’t think he was done the day we lifted 55, but the grass quite understandably turned greener on the other side over the months that followed. From there standards drop pretty quick and you get the performances we’ve turned in so far this season. Just glad we got a shake up before it was too late.

It's the way Polls are set out on this forum that have set limits on questions you are allowed to suggest.

Hopefully we keep the core of the team intact, we don't want to be leaving ourselves understrengthed though so getting rid of players who are not playing would be good and free up some wages.
Bringing in 3 players a defender midfielder and attacker to bolster our title bid would be lovely.

I know it's too early to make predictions, but are we starting to see a team capable of winning the league?
We know they've got the ability, but even almost by admission by certain people in our dressing room we have lacked hunger. 
I know it still took a penalty, but it was a properly won and a perfect take that won us a game we very easily have just drawn. 
We know that hibs will have been confident and if the players want to show that the last game against them was a fluke then they have shown it. 
Football being football, I thought we played a bit better apart from when we lost the first goal until the 3 goal and u don't know why Fashion never got on on place of Hagi, who is never a right winger. 
Has the team shown us desire tonight, or were we just lucky?
 
I hope the team finally realises that we NEED those clean sheets that we had last season to be certain of taking the title. How do you beat a team who don't lose goals? The team has shown they can do it, and hopefully have big Fil back playing as soon as possible. We have missed him but Bassey has gotten better every game he's played at CB for us. Has tonight been the game where we have finally shown the qualities of last season? And I don't mean talent, but resolve.

I'll say the unstaunch thing, but what possible reasoning do you have which has made you come to that conclusion

Playing so wide without a target man is not the best idea. All crosses need to be kept low which is very difficult.  
Need to start playing through the middle more. 

Get a grip

We need to mix our attacks up a bit more, almost everyone is scared to have a dig so defenders sit deep while we try and walk the ball past them.

Walter smith would have congratulated Aberdeen on getting something out of the game and admitted we weren’t good enough to get the victory tonight
this game wasn’t a tribute to Walter in any way, other than it was the first one after his death, I wouldn’t trust a single player who was on the park for us tonight to play in a match that was a tribute to that great man, these imposters aren’t worthy of getting to that standard based on this season, probably only Mcgregor in our full squad would start in a Walter team and even he’s not been up to his usual standards
After the high of last year in a miserable time for the whole world these players brought me some joy, it’s the only bit of credit they have left but that joy is over now, terry Munro is dead n buried and the anger is growing game by game, we were amazing last year but this year we are so bad it has you wondering if we just got really really fucking lucky
 

Could name the entire stadium after him as far as I'm concerned. That's how important he is to my generation.

Mentioned this in the main thread - I think it would be ideal if we are building a testament to our greatest achievements that we name it after one of our greatest servants.
 

i recently found an old picture of my dad that i had never seen before and he's wearing one of our tops. it's a long shot but i'd love to try get a hold of one. some other photos that were with it were dated 1988 so i checked our kit history and it seems this top was used for 3 seasons between 1987-1990. was the top the exact same each season or were the any differences between them? here is the photo incase anyone can tell me anything about it:

i tried looking through ebay but none would fit a fat cunt like me lol. even if i can't buy one i'd still love to hear from anyone who remembers the games we played with that top. my dad passed away so i can't ask him about it and i wasn't even born then. it's all well going online to read about those seasons but if you have any memories from those seasons please share. i'm older now than what my dad was in that photo and i don't know i just thought if i heard some memories from that time it might make me feel a bit closer to him.
