  1. YES Honestly felt like today was the end of any fear we should have of them...we certainly need to improve especially in final 3rd but thats not new!
  2. I get the point that avoiding any fixture backlogs and/or allowing full focus on the league may help our title challenge...I think the reality is very different. Getting knocked out of cup competitions or performing poorly in Europe will likely add pressure and/or raise doubts about the team which I doubt ultimately helps us. Winning is a good habit to get into! Even from the financial side, qualifying from Europa group may be difference between adding an extra player in January or not. Agree league is absolute priority though!
  3. You would be better off trying to forget this rather than remember it!
  4. It was definitely a good idea in 1972!!!
  5. Backing McIlroy & Stenson along with 300/1 Jazz Janewattanonond!
  6. Think it might follow on from that as this was an appeal with CAS and looks like some sort of "plea bargain"...lose out on EL place this year but wipe slate clean, keep their team together and try push for CL qualification next year (which I think their main goal was to avoid a future CL ban).
  7. "Having the hand/arm above shoulder height is rarely a ‘natural’ position and a player is ‘taking a risk’ by having the hand/arm in that position, including when sliding"...clearly no concept of biomechanics!
  8. Ideally, how would you see the club not accept the punishment? Play the player whilst banned? I am not sure really what options the club has, keep speaking out against & highlighting the double standards, keep challenging the bans but realistically what can we do?
  9. I'm on Koepka, Day & Sergio with Jonny Vegas thrown in for a 3 figure outsider!
  10. Wee trip up the road to Andorra in the early rounds would be fine by me! We're on our way, we're on our way...
  11. Robbie Winters for Aberdeen against us in the Oranje Scottish Cup Final!
  12. Forgot that Johnny Sack used to manage Hearts!
  13. ...never defeated? We won the game so that is nothing to do with the complaint, indeed the best time to raise issues such as this as the easy sour grapes riposte holds no weight!
  14. Dundee then Hamilton; could make a song out of that! It's a tough run of games (with 2 Euro fixtures to fit in there as well)! Never like looking too far ahead and trying to predict results, or how many points we will be ahead/behind etc. ...mainly because any time this has been done recently an almighty let down has followed. BUT, these are the challenges you face at Rangers, and what champions must be prepared to overcome!
  15. Don't think he is a bad guy, or really deserving of any hate...or indeed deserving of very much attention to be honest! Thought he came across quite immature and I don't think he has the talent to back up his attitude; but that is someone else's problem now. I wish him best of luck, but don't ever see him playing at a high level.
  16. I would say fair comment in the context...probably just looked at away European ties.
  17. I do like Tav and value what he brings to the team; we would certainly miss him when he's gone if Flanagan is his replacement but if big money comes in and used to sign a RB replacement as well as add some creativity to the midfield/final 3rd...may not be the worst option, although not sure if January is best time for that! Morelos I would not consider selling unless crazy money!
  18. As baffling decisions go, throwing Sadiq on in defence would have been right up there with the best of them! Agree bringing Wallace on at a corner was a strange one, I can't remember in detail now...was he waiting to come on for a while and that was first stoppage? This was early in his tenure so the "experimenting" with 3 at the back was just that...he was probably still getting a feel for the players and what systems/combinations worked best. I imagine he went with Lafferty due to his experience of the fixture against celtic so can understand that logic...had they played together before that; if not saying "doesn't work" is a hindsight call, rather than a baffling decision at the time. But agree the warning signs regarding that pairing were surely known ahead of Livi. He has appeared to chop/change Worrell & Katic randomly at times...but we don't know what he is seeing in training so am not sure could call that baffling. Both have played well at times and looked shaky at other times. Agree, the subs does appear to be a more reactive than proactive thing for him. Not sure I would call that baffling, but maybe more a sign of a manager that errs on side of caution.
  19. Sad news, thoughts with his family & friends.
  20. Aye, remember that. Souness hit Durrant with a heavy challenge and Durrant asks "is that all you got?" to which Souness responds "no" and catches him with a right hook...imagine if they had twitter in those days!!!
  21. It does seem an element of panic about the signing as we had no cover at all for Morelos...as it turns out he still isn't seen as cover for Morelos even with Laff cup-tied! But is the only failure in transfer market so far and you can't really knock that strike rate! Wouldn't be the worst thing to see him move on in January and a better striker signed up to help us battle on 4 fronts ?
  22. The selection or non-selection of players does add some intrigue but can see the benefit of everybody playing an having a real chance to contribute from the outset. Must be a little bit sh1t you've worked for two years to get there and only get 1/2 games (only one of which being actually picked to play). I think everybody plays the 3 days of Presidents Cup? I think Yanks line up Speith/Reed, Tiger/JT, DJ/Koepka, DeChambeau/Fowler. Europe Rose/Stenson, Fleetwood/Molinari, McIlroy/Rahm, Casey/Noren. Wouldn't surprise to see Garcia/Rahm & McIlroy/Poulter together at some point.
