  1. I thought after his first few performances he was miles off it. Just didn't think he was good enough and certainly not better than what we had. I actually thought he'd played a few really good games and thought he deserved a run earlier Then it looked he was off in January... Now I think Kamara has a fight to get that place back. Which is great news because I think Kamara has been coasting for a while and has needed competition. Credit to him and hope he kicks on
  2. For me gazza and no one's really close to that tbh. Laudrups signing looked exciting but no where near the excitement of gazza. I think as well, its relative to where we are at any given time. I think Ronald De Boer was an exciting name, maybe Kanchelskis to a slightly lesser extent? Frank De Boer was a class player, but was in his latter years, similar with Caniggia. Pedro Mendes was quite exciting for the time and given the financial situation we were in.. Recent years, I think Barton, Kranjcar and Alves were obviously big names for where we are at the time, but all disappointed.
  3. No offence meant to heart and hand... But the dutch boy that they interviewed when describing van bronckhorsts football... Said the football was defensive... Not seen any of that. Also love that he's not afraid to not play the Two DMS (Davis and Kamara) every game. He's lifted some players that weren't doing it (for example the fight from Morelos at his goal, not sure that would have happened earlier in the season) Really positive so far and more to come hopefully.
  4. Its hugely disrespectful to randomly take issue at a man who's scored 32 goals in 73 games for hs... Largely from the bench... He's also been nothing but respectful and the ultimate professional for us... You can think it's madness all you want, but I'm sure you can tell by the reaction on here that you're in the minority.
  5. He didn't say the best he said one of the best. Which if your the 9th top scorer of all time in that league... You clearly are. Also picking out the number of games it took him to reach that figure while he was scoring goals for the likes of Portsmouth and Sunderland... or a young lad coming through at spurs and west ham is bizarre. Your the first person I've ever hear who has an issue with Defoe being called one of the best..
  6. He has. It was a reply to my post and my response to that has also been removed. Im not going to lie bit baffled as to why I got the reply I did in the first place. Was absolutely no need and I'm glad they've been removed.
  7. We don't know the circumstances and 2 wrongs don't make a right. 19 years old. Hoping this is just some cruel rumour.
  8. How do you make a video like that and not include the manager in it 👀
  9. I agree. If he'd been bought as a starter. He might have been given a bit of a break and allowed that time to settle in... That's not the case though and as a result it's very difficult for him to be picked over the likes of Morelos or roofe.
  10. Kelly definitely looks the business. Ittens had a few flashes but can see why you think that. I always think... And yeah I'm probably being very kind.. that players need a run of games to show what they can do. Don't think ittens ever really had that. Always sub appearances here and there. Was absolutely woeful in this friendly though
  11. 🤣🤣Ooft getting that sorted right now. Stupid fat fingers 🤣
  12. So don't get me wrong. I was buzzing for ore season... Because I hoped to see some good performances and the new players. So far the highlight has been the young players (Kelly, King, Mayo and Maxwell) that have stood out. It means nothing though and is about fitness. When Itten scores the winner against Real Madrid in a few weeks that will mean nothing too 👀 As long as the players up their game when the season starts... We need to be punishing them and winning 56 when they are in this state.
  13. Nooe Barker, Middleton and Jones are 100 per cent needing to move permanently Edmundson I don't think will make it either and tbh Simpson is the same.. so one is probably needed as cover and the other needs to leave permanently.
  14. All about fitness these games. I wouldn't worry about the result. Pish performance though, sack Gerrard, the board, Rangers tv and lundstram now. Also why the fuck is Middleton starting when Maxwell and Bassey are on the bench.
  15. Defoe's probably missed more sitters in this game than he has his entire Rangers career
  16. Won't make it at us imo. Like him, but limited from what I've seen. It's a bit like Michael o'halloran for me. Did well at st Johnstone where he has the space to use his pace and get in behind. Like him, Middleton lacks a trick/the ability to go by a man and we often face teams putting ten behind the ball Would love to be wrong though
  17. Honestly never thought of it but I'm trying to think of who could challenge that... David Seaman good goalie, possibly up there... Thought Nigel Martyn was massively underrated. Paul Robinson had a spell where he was really good... But then had a long spell where he was bad... So no where near it. Joe Hart had a great spell.. but has been poor for about 5 years. Craig Gordon decent but not as good as McGregor imo. Leighton decent too but not as good as Goram. Rob green, David James, David Marshall, Neil Sullivan, Roy Carroll, Tim Flowers, Ian Walker, Jack Butland, Chris Kirkland, Jordan Pickford, Nick Pope, Scott Carson, Richard Wright, Fraser Forster and anyone else I've missed were absolutely no where near it. I bet English football fans would disagree
  18. Folk talking about his saves this season (which are tremendous) but that save against Bremen.... Best I've ever seen. Don't even think the clips do it justice. In the moment I was certain it was in... As for the Goram/McGregor debate... Its difficult. Goram was unbelievable. Wouldn't have swapped him for anyone. I suppose memories can fade and as McGregor is the man doing it now... And in the modern era... You might choose him because you see him do it every week. Goram edges it for me... But both are legends. Woods, Goram, Klos, McGregor and a few other decent ones I've not mentioned we've been a wee bit spoilt with goalies.... Outwith the banter years
  19. The answer is Davis. Love them all but rationale is. McLaughlin has about 12 Clean sheets. Patterson is a top prospect Goldson is good but Katic, Balogun, Helander and less so Simpson play there. We dropped Davis in the league cup against st mirren and our arse collapsed. Don't @ me 🤣
  20. Ianis Hagi is fast becoming our Ntcham in that there seems to be this fee of 10 million plus touted yet he's doing very little on the park... Maybe a wee bit harsh on Hagi because he's not been quite that bad... But I do struggle to think who's watching him and thinking he's worth that... I suppose if you caught him on a good day... You'd think he's worth it...
  21. There's no player that I think... "Oh he's useless..." But it wouldn't sadden me for us to move some of these boys on. Finish the season unbeaten and hopefully see a bit of movement. I do think Davis and Kamara have been brilliant, but sometimes (tonight) we absolutely need a midfielder to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. A real goal threat type. I wonder if that was meant to be Aribo but he's so hit and miss. Itten and Hagi for me are in the same bracket and to be honest... Probably more so... Wouldn't be sad for us to sell them for the right fee. Think Scott Wright has shown he should start the remaining games. Also feel that while he's probably not the long term answer... Greg Stewart hasn't let us down and could have been brought on tonight and maybe made a difference..
