Perhaps but not every club cheats their rivals by falsifying accounts, has their owners abuse unique political power to deliver dubious sponsorship financing and has UEFA break their own rules and processes to allow them to compete in the first place. They should both be out on their ears the way easier targets have been. You can’t have rules for one and not for others. Why should have Rangers haveto comply with FFP and then PSG or city not.

I know Gerrard has played at the top level for a long time and been interviewed thousands of times and has worked in the media but it’s so good watching him and listening to his interviews. He could easily have slipped into the cliched style of Manager interviews, spouting inane pish and mindless platitudes but how great is it to have a Manager who respects us enough to not do that and to give the fans the truth. He calls it as it is and gives us it straight. After all we have been through and some of the garbage we have had to listen to from Managers, we really are fortunate.

Nonetheless, over time hopefully we will be less reliant on loans and we will buy and develop players that we can make money on to reinvest.
