  1. McCall is not the right coach to take Rangers forward in my opinion. Hey, he'd be better than McCoist but his record in the games against Rangers is woeful. 2010-2011 he lost 4-1, 4-1, 6-0 and 5-0 Then in 2011-2012 he lost 3-0, 3-0, 2-1 and earned a 0-0 on the second last game of the league campaign when Rangers had went into administration with morale at absolute zero. But, of course, he saved his most embarrassing game against Rangers for his League Cup match against an awful 4th tier Rangers team and still lost easily. Sorry, but that's a shocking record. Had he never played for Rangers there's no way he'd be the favourite to replace McCoist.
  2. Ricciardo is a much more likeable driver, but those guys rarely win championships. Schuey, Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton etc are fairly friendly but there's also that ruthlessness which is required if you want to be the best in an individual sport. I could name legends from other individual sports like darts, snooker, tennis and golf who are exactly the same. You don't have to support him, but at the very least Hamilton should have earned your respect.
  3. Confidence can be interpreted as arrogance on occasion... I've always thought Hamilton is quite humble. He's maybe a bit ruthless, but that's why he's a double world champion.
  4. Well done to Lewis. Can he go on to win more championships? I think he's capable of at least one more.
  5. I think Hamilton has got this championship won now what with Rosberg in 8th place. Harsh for Nico but with the great start Lewis made today he can't have too many complaints. Plus, they are both equal in terms of mechanical problems so the championship has been fairly won.
  6. I'm confident Rangers are going to be well up for this game and will win 2-1. If we lose it would be the appropriate occasion for McCoist to quit. He won't though, and Rangers can't afford to buy out his contract. This is a huge game. Go nine points behind and the league is almost certainly lost. But, Rangers will win on Saturday, then Lewis Hamilton will win on Sunday, and it will have been the perfect weekend!
  7. Qualifying this weekend will be 4 cars out in Q1, 4 cars out in Q2 and 10 cars through to Q3.
  8. I don't think teams can currently put out a third car.
  9. Five cars set to miss qualifying on Saturday. So does it just go straight to Q2?...
  10. He's apparently getting emergency surgery for a head injury. Hopefully he's okay. There's always been a concern another car would crash into the truck whilst it was collecting a crashed vehicle and it seems its unfortunately happened.
  11. I think Vettel is making a mistake joining Ferrari. If Alonso is desperate to leave it's highly unlikely they'll have a car capable of competing for the championship. As for tomorrow, the weather report has rain as an "almost certainty". Could be very interesting indeed! I'm going to try and stay up. Two energy drinks have been drank!
  12. Disappointing result but I'm sure most of us were on such a high from the referendum result that we just shrugged our shoulders and went "Ach, it's just football, and we're still only 3 points behind the leaders anyway"...
  13. Probably not Rangers fans to begin with. My guess is it was a Nationalist tactic to get other Rangers fans to back independence. They knew 80%+ of Rangers fans would vote No and they tried to do something about it. (and failed)
  14. Bit disappointed there will be a low attendance for this match. Just day's before the referendum, it would have nice to have a full stadium with thousands and thousands of Union Flags. Ah well.
  15. Really entertaining today. Great drive from Hamilton. Rosberg's error down to losing the psychological battle in my opinion. With the tactics Rosberg has used so far I doubt he'd fake an error to let Hamilton win. No way.
  16. What's the difference between the 'Vote No' banner and all the Scottish National Party advertising boards at football grounds across the country? How can a club be punished for bringing politics into football when other clubs are accepting money to advertise for the Scottish National Party? Can't be one rule for one team and a completely different rule for another.
  17. So the fastest growing economy in the Western world "can't get any worse than it is now"??? So when a currency union is denied and Scotland starts using the pound with no central bank and no lender of last resort, forcing many businesses, especially UK-wide businesses to leave the country, ensuring the economy declines, investment declines, jobs decline and inevitably the Scottish budget declines... how daft will your "well it can't get any worse" comment seem then? If Scotland votes Yes it will already have a £6bn+ hole in its budget so things will get worse before they improve, if ever. Salmond intends to lower corporation tax also. How will all that be paid for? Public spending would have to be reduced or YOUR taxes would have to be increased. What would an independent Scotland have done during the banking crisis in 2008? Who would have provided the bailout funds? What would the interest rate have been? Would they have even been bailed out at all? Who would have saved the Grangemouth oil plant in 2013 had the UK not provided £150m at short notice? The great thing about being part of a wider union is that if one bit fails, it has many other parts to back it up until the failing bit gets back on its feet. It's like an insurance policy. An independent Scotland wouldn't have that. Of course the United Kingdom is better together.
  18. Rangers fans supporting the break up of the United Kingdom? I just don't get it. And I say that as a former Catholic who chose to support Rangers so I totally get the club has a diverse group of fans. Anyhoo, I have voted No. And if you're a No supporter you should make sure you vote too. Don't just hope No wins. Every vote counts. I HAD to vote. I owed it to my country.
  19. Hearts have fielded their non-first team players for the match today. Rangers should be doing the same thing in the Challenge Cup. It's not an important tournament. The squad should be rotated to ensure the first team players are ready for the games that actually matter.
  20. 4-4-2 formation - Rangers to win 2-0. 4-5-1 formation - Hibs to win 2-1.
  21. Well that's one team that won't be finishing ahead of my team in the league. How much did that cost? £70m?
  22. Statistics since 2007.. Lewis: Wins - 27, Podiums - 63, Pole - 35, Laps Led - 1600, Points - 1293 Alonso: Wins - 17, Podiums - 60, Pole - 7, Laps Led - 810, Points - 1340 According to those statistics, Alonso only betters Lewis on points (But Alonso scored more of those points after the scoring system was increased, otherwise Lewis would be ahead on that statistic also) Fairly conclusive that Hamilton is the more consistent driver.
