  2. Did he not leave so we could use his wage to sign Mervan? Think he's a youth coach at Everton now
  3. Thought so, read so much over the last month, tough to keep up with it all... I'll be happy when we're a club again and RM users are only debating team selections, tactics, signings etc
  4. Did the Administrators say they hope to have a new owner in place by late April/early May or did I imagine that?
  5. Soros owned the company that operated DC United when the MLS began, then his group tried to buy the Washington Nationals but nothing ever developed of that. The man has some serious wealth, no doubt.
  6. Has anyone got a link to the new Rangers website where the fans can donate? Still waiting to send the $800 I pledged to SaveRangers... the new site seems more credible though with Ally & Sir Walter backing it
  7. Yeah, that's pretty much the going rate for most players outside the Designated Player/"Beckham Rule". The lowest wage in the MLS was Conor Shanosky of DC United - He was on something like $30k per season. We different contracts than Europe though. The player's receive a current base salary and an annual average guaranteed compensation. The AAGC number is a player's base salary and all signing and guaranteed bonuses over the duration of the contract. If a player has a base salary of $50,000 over a two-year contract with two one-year options and received a $10,000 bonus signing fee, his AAGC would be $52,500 (base salary plus signing bonus ($10,000), with the signing bonus divided by the 4 year contract. Take any MLS wage reports with a grain of salt though... Players have personal contracts with the club and separate contracts with their sponsors that allow the team to pay them less than the MLS wage-cap of $2.6m per season
