  1. February 1962. Motherwell. Ibrox. Wednesday night floodlights. We won 2-1

My dad finally relented (he was a rugby man) and took me after I had pestered him for a year or so.

The strongest memory (we were in the Main Stand) was coming up the stairs to our seats and being dazzled by the floodlights and the size of the place.

It was freezing - never felt it.

  2. If ever there was a role model of a Rangers Man, Sandy you are that person. You have led by example and have shown many of us the true meaning of RTID. I watched you countless times, I have known you for many years and I applaud all your efforts to support our Rangers Family...... we will endeavour now to support yours. Tell Slim and Coop we still miss them. WATP.

  3. From this (now) overseas Bear may this legend rest in peace. I'm old enough to have watched him many, many times ... who could ever forget his first minute goal against Bayern Munich in the ECWC semi in 1972 at Ibrox..... the man was pure class. We too often use the expression "Rangers Man"........... but Sandy Jardine set the standard for that for years. Very few can compare. My thoughts go out to his family and our wider Rangers Family at this very, very sad time.

  4. Now that I've looked through the Willie Vass photos site, I totally agree with the OP. How the fuck do they get away with that sheer provocation...? I'm sure we'll see a big write-up in tomorrow's papers with lots of photos....aye right....!!!!!!

OP.........you were right and well done to sticking to your point.....some of us brethren are a wee bit slow at times.

    So

  5. Why are some of us so critical of Sally...? It was a radio interview after losing, and the man was gutted. What would you expect..? Forget who the interviewer was, it's irrelevant. Forget about Sally's comments about L or not - don't read any deeper than that, he doesn't know either. What might be a good idea would be to applaud Sally for being a very decent Rangers man who has the character and the class to say what he said about the football issues. Is he wrong in being an honest Rangers man with integrity....??????

    Not in my book.

The man IS Rangers. Rangers IS him.

  6. We are all missing something mate. Its the people in the knows ability to tell us the truth.

They are to busy shitting on each others bids and forget that its us (the supporters) who will make or break the winner when the contest is over and the deals done.

Lying or trying to bullshit the fan base is not an ideal start to your tenure at the club.

I personally trust no bid at the moment (still doing my own due diligence).

Oh and welcome to the confused club.

It is growing by the minute.

    Agreed.

And don't let's lose sight of the aftermath that if say TBK win (and I have NO preference so don't go there), and they get ownership by walking along the PENNY Arcade, then when it comes time for them to come to us for share subscriptions (if that IS their plan), then they might have a steep hill to climb. And before anyone tries to say I'm not a TRUE Blue by saying that, don't worry I'll be there - just not sure how much share proceeds we would realistically see. Hence, if the TBK plan is based on FUTURE share proceeds, I have concerns.

  7. OK, I admit it...I am totally fucking confused.

FFS, what IS TBK's bid and how is it structured...?......if their consortium of up to 10 millionaires, now also including BK, can only come up with anything between 1.5 and 5.0 million BETWEEN them, then they're just yanking our chains. Do they honestly believe that creditors would find that to be a workable level..?

I've been in international financial business for over 40 years and have done deals in many places, but on this situation, which is a huge part of my life, I'm clearly missing something.
