Back then Rangers always had passion, fight, grit and determination and would leave blood, sweat and tears on the pitch for the jersey.

I obviously wasn’t about back then but didn’t we also have a board who actually cared and tried?

Today we have a bunch of half arsed footballers who wilt under pressure at the biggest club they’ll ever play for.

And we have a board who don’t give a fuck

You shouldn’t believe the stories about the 60s, 70s and 80s. There were abject performances and results.

    How?

I wasn't around for it so I am genuinely asking how it was worse. I just can't understand how anything could have been worse than being put in the 3rd division of Scottish football and currently having no plan on how to return to the top of it

I put up the pre-Souness league table last night. We finished a season with 13 wins, 9 draws and 14 losses. We are currently 7-3-3. It was a lot worse, and that was many years since we had won the league too.

Even with all this doom and gloom, talk of protests and removing the board. If Mike Ashley came in and was willing to buy us, put in the necessary funds to get us back to where we should be. There are plenty within our support who would be protesting the next day. Plenty of our support are willing to accept mediocrity as long as the Rangers men are in charge.

I think in the vast majority of cases, it is that people could see through what Ashley was doing and didn’t want him at the club. And they would still feel the same - not because they wanted King, Murray, whoever.

Did you fully support the previous march against our owners ?

Would you fully support a current march against our owners ?

I prefer the current owners to the previous owners.

I didn’t march in either case.

i am fine with people marching in both cases.

what are your answers to your questions? Out of interest.

LOL - not drunk.  Just being real.  Its embarrassing.  Hypocrisy is the worst trait in my view.  Its in abundance with you and your ilk.

So, just to be clear. I didn’t march then, I am not marching now. I defended people’s right to march before if that was what they wanted to do, and do the same thing now. For that I am a hypocrite?

Im against marching and boycotting.  I have a problem with wanks who promote marches when it suits and dont promote them when it doesnt.

    Bum.

good for you. If people feel strongly about something and want to march, they should go and march, wanting someone else to do it for them is apathetic.

you being drunk and not liking me makes little difference to my life.

  7. Pre-Souness days was this league table.

does anyone think we will lose more games than we win this season?

or does anyone think that this current situation is worse than failing to get out of the Championship a couple of years ago?

Or the days before we were trying to get a licence to be allowed to play in the third division with the skills of Kevin Kyle, Sandaza and Stella to look forward to.

Today was rubbish, and a fair few games have been, and will probably continue to be for a while, but a terrible result with a caretaker manager doesn’t compare to some of the shit we have had to put up with.

You're a hard man to please.

2 Belgian League titles nearly a decade apart isn’t like he is a worldy.

I am curious as to what he could do with us, I am not convinced he is a million miles superior to McInnes, we shall see.

  9. Interesting option, and good to see we still have ‘pull’ as a brand. Not sure if his agent is using us to get more money from Mechelen, and not sure if his record is actually good enough either, but would like to see his plans.

Genuinely don’t think we will go for a manager who would be seen as a risk after the last two though.

  10. McInnes does seem the obvious choice, it is about time for him to step up and prove himself at a higher level. Short term he knows the league very well, would ensure we were far more solid and is more likely than anyone to hit the ground running.

That is a fair criticism of us all mate . Even me

I stay on the grounds doorstep . I could be up there, beating the crap out of King in seconds :-)) For what he helped do to us

    It's my perfect dream

Seriously though . Someone with higher profile usually has to start these things .

    Like a supporters organisation .

The beggars usually camp outside , with their giros spent on bucky .

It's a long time since they had to do that though

    The roles have 100% reversed

The power shift is 100% complete . That is thanks to David Murray , Craig Whyte and this failed board .

Until they are all held with disdain , the way they ALL  deserve by everyone ..And get them out

Then I truly don't think this club will ever be able to claw back some of the power we once had over the mutants

There is an acceptability from our supporters . Especially the younger ones . That these guys are the best we could get to run our club .

See you had a pop at me and few others

You are normally one of the most sensible bears on here . You definitely have my respect

If there is one criticism of you . Hope you take this on the chin .

You always think you are right ??? Would you agree .

I would indeed agree with the last comment, although I think it is probably the same for all of us.

I think most bears are in a place that the situation we are in is seen as down to SDM and the Whyte. And that we were then ripped off by Green who was a conman and Ashley who tried to wring every penny from us.

generally, I also get the view that most Bears wish the current board could do more, but feel as though they are trying to go in the right direction and that we are so far behind our enemies because of the previous mentioned owners.

I wish we had another £30m to spend on players, and if someone was offering that, it would be an option to look at, but I don’t see anyone offering it.

    I hit a little nerve

You must be one of the Kingalings then eh :mutley:

I can’t believe any true Rangers fan could believe the stuff that you or others say and not want to do anything about it. That’s all.

No one . Care to join me ???? thought not

Not really, but i’m not on this thread whingeing about other people not protesting, other people not organising protesting and fans being apathetic.

If you guys believe the current Board are as big a problem as you seem to, I cannot believe that none of you are protesting, trying to get into the club1872 board or well, doing anything other than moaning on a forum.

It's the only way mate .

I look at Arsenal . One of the biggest clubs in England . How pathetic a club they have become .

How even more pathetic are their apathetic fans . Shower of pussies

That brilliant club should be trying to win every trophy .

They are just taking the shit , their owners give them .

I DON'T KNOW WHICH SET OF FANS ARE WORSE

They should have sacked Wenger at least 5/6 years ago . Winning cups to them is not enough .

Just like it's not enough for us .

Although they are in Champions league every year and we have climbed up from bottom division .

Until we smoke KING and Murray out . They will stay in their comfy . safe seats

    Wasting my and your club

    Who’s stopping you?

  15. I know it has been a long time since i said anything in this area, but seriously, if people want to protest, go and bloody protest. Whingeing that other people aren’t doing it is just pathetic.

  16. The idea of bringing in a manager who will either a) have to deal with a squad of Portuguese/Mexican players and either find a way of working them within his style or changing them all in January/next summer so that we can go through it all again year after year seems bonkers. I don’t have the answer, but changing the manager every year until someone clicks perfectly with a whole new squad doesn’t seem likely to work.

    This.

It'll just keep growing and growing until the bubble eventually bursts but people have been saying that for years and it's no closer to happening.

If things keep going the way they are we'll see players on £1m a week contracts before you know it.

The bubble will burst soon enough, who actually wants to sit and watch the same teams in the CL year after year?

An attention seeker. An excessively cunty one at that!

He's only acting like that for a reaction and sadly, he's getting just that.

You can tell just by looking at his smug face he's a bellend.

As much a bear as that tramp mcfarlane.

    Best ignored.

He is just replying to someone putting pretty much word for word the same tweet  , it isn't quite as bad taken in context.
