We ARE bigger than them, so why shouldn't we be spending at least at the same level as them? We would be compatable at ST sales, but retail and other income streams is where we need to capitalise on and that's down to the board. This board need to get off the pot on retail and let us know one way or another whether we buy our merchandise or not. I don't give a fuck about king's personal disputes with ashley. It's either to our benefit to buy or not. I do care about his pals exploiting the blue pound as this affects money that could be going towards the playing budget. Then their are the other income streams as we go into the top tier, so sponsorpship deals should be at a premium, so I am awaiting to hear what good we have done there. All in all, what the fuck are they doing about our revenue streams. That will tell us if they are honest brokers with acumen or not and from where I'm sitting, there should be no reason why MW should not be getting a decent budget.

I know. We have had a whole 24 hours since being confirmed as promoted, wtf are they doing not having all of this sorted and announced already?

  2. Not an appropriate picture for them to put on the front page of a newspaper. Shaming the guy is not going to help, I hope he can recover, it doesn't always seem like he really has the strength within him to do so.

  3. I don't really have any clothing that is bright green (although not really into bright colours) probably a couple of T-shirts that are a very dark shade, bordering on grey. My dad would be spinning if he looked down and saw me in what he referred to as 'yon shitty ******** green' (asterisked for any onlookers)

Many years ago I knew a young guy from Glasgow who was in the Army. He served in Northern Ireland, and he was killed there, shot in the back by a coward. To sit at a football match and hear people from the same city as that young guy singing the praises of the people who murdered him - well, I will always find that offensive.

That's up to you. As long as people continue being offended, this will carry on.

    You know what I want?

The game to go ahead with both sets of fans belting out whatever they like, like this law doesn't exist, strength in numbers.

They going to throw the full stadium out?

It would embarrass every one of those arseholes who have made it the norm to be offended in this country over absolutely nothing.

I guarantee you no cunt viewing the match from other countries will be moaning about the songs, just praising the atmosphere.

The two sets of fans joining forces on this is the best message to send out. But we will continue to have people on both sides who are mortally offended by what they hear from others. Too blind to see.

  6. To be honest, this little nostalgia trip of a thread seems to have covered all of the bases now, surely to God we can just move on now that everyone has re-hashed their old opinions and arguments.

  7. Typical response to any negative thing that happens, and has been for as long as I remember.

of course in the middle of that we have the demand to be entertained and watch stylish football, well sometimes that leads to mistakes in defence, sometimes we will lose games where we should be out of sight.

big picture, we are doing fantastically well this season, next season is a whole new test and we will be strengthened for it.

people just need to chill out a bit. If there was ever a time when a defeat was bearable, it is when we are miles ahead at the top.

You don't know what he meant but you do know he has no agenda, as a man of law can you prove that ? :pipe:

As a man of law I would point out that I didn't say he had no agenda, just commented an opinion on those who think he does. Now, back to the sherry for me

Sorry but you user name implies you know something about legal stuff, but you don't know what he meant ?

Ally knows exactly what he said, he's not that much of  idiot, every Tim in the world will latch onto this,...."Ally said the club was liquidated, we told you, you died, your a new club"

There is no double meaning in his comment. I can only hope that he'll come out and say that he's been misquoted, but I won't hold my breath.

After all the shite the club and fans have been put through about this dead or alive nonsense, the last man on earth that I would expect to stoke their fire was Ally.

I am very pleased that you think my degree gives me knowledge over everyone, their comments, meaning and motives. I've said what I think he probably meant, if anyone believes he is purposefully trying to follow an agenda to denigrate the club then I suspect they have lost perspective somewhat.

I'll ask you the same question as a previous poster.

What do you make of his comment the the club was liquidated ?

Slip of the tongue perhaps ?

Probably, I suspect he was talking about going through the admin process at the end of one season and then the totally different experience of the next season starting in division 3, but I don't know what he meant.

  11. Type in Mark Warburton Neil Lennon or Mark Warburton Deila into Google, read the articles and come back in here with the same offensive nonsense being chucked at McCoist, or just get over yourselves. 15 months later and still looking for any excuse to hate on Ally, pathetic behaviour.

What are you even doing in this thread apart from looking for an argument. You have not mentioned Dave Smith once and apologies if I'm wrong but it just seems your only interest is looking for a point to differ with another poster. JB was just brought up as an example (maybe wrongly) of where former players differ and how some seem to be more 'in' than others.

    Ok-dokes, ta-ra

No I know you to be a clown when you named three of them and gave you a chance re name the two re something a legend would never do.

You seem to have jumped away from the silly statements you make about the retail deal and figures

i have been known to waste hours on some pointless, tiresome arguments on this forum in my time, but this isn't one that is happening. You disrespect these guys who have given their all for the cause, scored goals against our enemies and lifted countless trophies. I don't have to defend them, and am pretty comfortable in my position as a Rangers fan by referring to them as legends.

  14. 7 minutes ago, Forever Blue2 said:

Point proven, you can't answer as it will make you look a clown

You think I will look a clown for claiming that Goram, Gough, Brown, Ferguson, McCall and McCoist are Rangers legends?

Please explain your definition of a Rangers Legend? two of the names you mentions above one gave the two fingers up ypu to Rangers Supporters and one other stated we died. Can you name them?

Well, proved my point at least, thanks for that. Enjoy your hating.

    Failed miserably in Europe

Nah, I'm not getting drawn into this kinda stupid argument. I am not going to disrespect legends just to win an argument with you because I am guessing you don't like Gough, McCoist and Brown for entirely non-football reasons.

The thread is about a guy that played with distinction for us and was part of our greatest triumph (so far  ). The other point is that he pays to watch us and does not as far as I know ask the club for anything but is happy to be a fan. End of story, it's not about John Brown, no Gough etc etc. If some feel that what he did for us is enough for the club to reward him for his service then that is their choice.

As others have said I think the Barca team should be made more of than they are. It was a wonderful achievement.

    I didn't bring him up.

i wasnt really focusing on browns actions (although they were ridiculous), imo the team that won our greatest ever achievement in football should never have to pay a penny to watch us again, yes brown had a magnificent career for us, i will never deny him that, but the barca bears are once in a lifetime guys, they should be invited to ibrox every week for nowt imo

I think some of the NIAR guys are up there too, Goram, Gough, Brown, Ferguson, McCall, McCoist - although everyone's list could be different.

comparing dave smith to john brown,

    massive own goal there

I know, Brown has nearly 300 appearances, we won the league every season he was at the club (spanning 9 years), 3 Scottish Cups and 5 league cups.

the guy may have been a complete mentalist with his stuff outside Ibrox 4 years ago, but he still is right up there for his achievements as a player.
