  1. What we really need is transparency from the club on every single thing, whether we ask them or not. And there should definitely be strong criticism of the club for not answering a question that nobody seems to have the balls to ask.

i argued with forlans sister when he did that whole thing with the contracts but at least he actually did something rather than the perpetual complainers on here who don't ever turn up to a Q&A because they decide no-one will listen, don't ask questions because they assume no-one will answer.... if you are concerned about something take some bloody action.

  2. Certainly a hell of a lot more hopeful than last season, but I still don't get the buzz around this fixture like I used to. Have lost a lot of interest in playing the majority of clubs in this country now.

It's an interesting theory, but it's nothing more than that.

He really is a pretty rubbish bigot if he goes about deleting things and apologising to the people he's offended mind you.

He is an ignoramus though, but this pissed up bigot who is so consumed by hatred he canny control himself doesn't really tally with his actions of deleting the offending posts and apologising for them.

He hasn't actually deleted the tweet.

  4. If a defender went through a striker after 13 seconds the ref would probably let him off with it, because they don't like to book people early in the game, give them

time to settle and all that crap, this case, ref had no need to book him, it wasn't outrageous as a celebration. The only conclusion is that the referee actually wanted to book him. Pathetic.

Exactly how I feel also, I'm or one who gets offended by words etc but this is the sort of thing that highlights just how one sided our sectarian laws really are.

Because they have managed to take a word that many used as an insult to celtic fans (fenian) and turn it into a racial-religious insult, but decided that h** is just another word for Rangers fan. Utterly ridiculous double standard, but that is what has happened.

You like the other fella that quoted me are taking this  out of context. Negri for his short time made the most of his chances on the other hand McCoist as i stated earlier in his long career at Rangers missed a lot of chances for the ratio of goals scored like it or lump it if you watched Rangers in this period thats a fact.

Im not knocking McCoist  the legend as a player merely stating what i witnessed. For what its worth that goal at Elland Road and his tally against the filth were wildly celebrated by myself at those times but its always been an obsevation of mine.

Just my views and not knocking Ally as the Rangers footballing legend.

I don't really agree with that either, there is no way to compare them, I am sure you can find a 6 month period where McCoist took a high ratio of chances. Negri's short time was 4 years.

Club giving the press a big stick to hit us with before a balls even kicked.

The press will do it regardless, the club are doing two things. Firstly, actually asking the fans not to do it, secondly, covering themselves for when people decide doing whatever they want is more important than the club.

I was at the game and he was getting dogs abuse that day. What people seem to forget or too young to know  is that for every goal Ally scored he would miss 4 sitters and that was all throughout his Rangers career.

Often wondered what would have happened if we had a Negri type finisher for all those years.

Well, if we take Negri as a Negri type striker, we can say that we would have probably won fuck all.

I don't remember the specific chant, was too young but do remember him getting pelters for a bit around that period. Interesting that the 'Judge' phase wasn't long after when Souness benched him a lot. There is a good interview somewhere with Souness explaining that period. Souness explains how Ally changed his attitude, managed to adapt the weaker parts of his game and go on to be our greatest striker.

It was about 5 years after that gtf incident when he became 'the judge', Souness had his view on the better pairing up front, if anyone deserves credit for Ally reaching even higher heights after that it is Walter Smith, and obviously Ally himself.

  10. I have stopped watching most of it now because it doesn't have any of the excitement that it used to have.

i remember back to the great days of the 80s when playing in the European Cup would see exciting games against teams like Ajax, Anderlecht, Red Star Belgrade, Steaua Bucharest, Dynamo Kiev, Benfica, and other similar types, same teams at this stage every year now and I just don't care.

    Wallace by a country mile.

Papac has become some kind of cult figure which has somehow made him a better player to some than he actually was.

Davie Robertson was the best left back we have had and that includes Arthur Newman.

Robertson was made to look a million miles better than he was by Laudrup.

    Numan was utter class.

    Papac was consistent and solid.

    Wallace remains untested.

Of course you have to be a "truly great player" to win leagues and play in European finals.

Kirk Broadfoot has won 3 league championships and played in a European final.

    Just saying.

Didn't say that, but judging Lee Wallace based on one average top league season and a further 3 and a half in lower leagues against a guy we saw playing against champions league opponents is not exactly apples with apples.

I always feel if you are going to comment on something like this there is  no point doing it from second-hand information on the internet. Go yourself and form your own opinion.

To be fair, looking at their website and reading press statements, it has always been pretty clear to me how the process was to work. And online is how I do the vast majority of my shopping.
