  1. Have i got this right you take the money for the fake gear, promise it will be invested eventually, they give you their money you give them useless tat that represents nothing, you say half of that's to buy shares that are not currently available and once they do that they will have no say in what happens regarding the shares.

If they invested directly in the club they would be able to invest the same money which would buy double the shares and they would actually be shareholders with a voice.

You are either very good salesman or your brand appeals to the idiot non thinker in our support.

You know when people on here continually demand answers from people linked to the RST (or RF, or whoever is the flavour of the week) they could at least be polite to the people who give them the answers.

  2. The Rangers fans are very good at seeing only the best in players we want to see good things from and only the bad in players we decide we don't like.

There were moments last week when Ball was absolutely all over the shop, but they don't get highlighted at all, whereas Wilson's mistakes do.

He is a decent player, who has some improving to do, not helped by a very attacking system that exposes centre backs.

  3. Therein lies the difference. I can't see anyone suing for either. (tu)

Let there be absolutely no doubt though. It is 100% unquestionable fact. There isn't an accountant alive who could justifiably back up the claim. The statement about the 5p was a huge mistake/misdirection/lie.

It's not true and that's 100% fact. (tu)

How much is the true answer?

Whether you want that to be since the start of the deal, money received by Rangers against total revenue, or just the last full year or whatever version is the best one to go with.

  4. Then that should be taken to court. No organisation, especially a self interested money making on a whim corporation, should be above common law. Surely consumer laws apply ?

Why are bookies above normal legal rules then "TheLawMan", that sounds preposterous, can you provide examples of bookies or bets not being subject to "normal legal rules", with that username and opinion you should surely be able to ?

It is a contract between the better and the bookie, and the terms and conditions include for 'errors'. If someone could show that they offer similar bets at 350/1 regularly, either us or other games then it would be realistic, but if it is genuinely a crazy price, then they can put it down to an error. As much as it is not what anyone wants to hear, does anyone think 350/1 was a reasonable price for that bet, or is it more likely to be a mistake?

  5. Legally, they do NOT have to honour it. I would say it is worth checking their normal odds for this kind of thing, if they were offering anyone else odds on winning by 2 or 4 goals and that maybe inflated odds encouraged those people to part with money that Ladbrokes will happily keep.

I would probably recommend not settling and getting the club formally involved, or telling the press (who may be interested if it is a decent value) 4-1 is a shit compromise from 7-2.

  6. Wes is a decent keeper, there is potential there, not sure if he will make it to the very top.

Full backs are both up to it for me.

I think there is a need for one exceptional centre half, if we want to get back where we need to. Either Kiernan or Wilson to go with a new guy, depending on who complements the style best. Would love a Gough, Butcher, Weir, Cuellar, Bougherra, or Amoruso type.

  7. So, one of three things have happened:

    a) there has been a sudden outbreak of neutrality

    b) the BBC have listened to the Rangers fans

    c) the club have made representations around the bias in how 'singing' is reported, and they have had to adopt a balanced approach.

    Any would be fine.

  8. The 3-1 game that a few have mentioned. My seat in the West Enclosure gave a fantastic view of the Albertz free kick and Bo Andersen's second. What people don't always remember is that half our team were ill with the flu, when they equalised and it got to the last quarter of the game it was far more likely that we would fade but the character shown was amazing, and their whinging about Cadete's goal being disallowed was a long lasting treat for us connoisseurs of their excuses.

  9. Thats all irrelevant. The scottish Govt deemed the term "Fenian" In the context of the song to mean Roman Catholic and therefore the song is sectarian. The history of the word is completely irrelevant.

I did say it wouldn't work.

  10. Ok, if people really want to have a go at this, then I would recommend the following to help your argument around the word 'Fenian'. Although it's original derivation related to a very specific group of people who sought to establish an independent Irish state, through the years because of the general way of society and football in Scotland, that sort of view generally became more associated with Celtic supporters. Time moved on and a greater plurality entered Scottish society, with both clubs having staff, players and fans from a number of religions and nationalities, however some of the names stuck. This phrase remained simply as a reference very specifically to Celtic fans, certainly not to all Irish or Catholics, and is used by the vast majority in this way, therefore any reference to the word cannot be construed as racist or sectarian (as we would not pigeon hole Celtic as an exclusive club for Irish or Catholics, nor is the club itself as important as a country or religion) but it is merely a football rivalry and a somewhat forthright word used in this context simply to express dislike for the supporters of a rival team.

I doubt it will work in court, but I actually believe it is true.

  11. iv never heard anyone sing the Brigton billy boys, have you ?

I have heard the Brigton Derry boys.

I have heard a million different things, tbh.

But yes, more a slip of the keyboard than anything there, I agree with you.

  12. Totally agree with you that the Fenian part has to go but I understood that some are now saying the words Billy Boy are in some way offensive and the song even with words changed should be banned.

I think that is probably just scaremongering, it would be a hard sell I think.

  13. Based on the law? Can you explain what the law iis based on so I can pick it apart?

Any lawyer worth his salt would have it thrown out of court as they have no evidence.

How many who have plead not guilty have been found guilty?

Non because they all plead guilty, I would chase any lawyer who told me to plead guilty.

Then go and be a test case, I wish you luck and hope you win.
