Sterling is arguably the biggest surprise of the season. An unknown backup full back/ utility defender has become a midfield warrior, who has a lot of skill to back up his physicality.

THIS 100%....and lets not forget Silva being brought down in the box and the ref gives them a freekick,are our players not asking for VAR checks,that was blatant.

Thought Silva had a really positive performance. He also found out he basically has to get assaulted just to win a foul....

Decent display last night in parts with three cracking goals in build up and finish.
However the now customary fuck about in defence with the ball even when we aren't really being pressed at that point always leads to  sloppy passes which Butland now seems happy to be part of and he himself had a few close shaves last night .
Cut that shit out more so when the press isn't there and find the forward pass.
The start of the second half was a prime example.of.hibs almost getting back in the game through our sloppy play and allowing them.a decent spell despite the two goal lead at that point.
The blatant dive on our left wing leading to a free kick and free header at goal was abysmal officiating as was the blatant double barge on Cantwell looked as if that went unpunished.
 

I thought Sterling was outstanding in the second half. 
We have a real gem in our hands.

that pass to ridvan and that finish was sublime, cantwells goal was a rocket of a shot..........how the hell do our players hesitate so much when taking shots i'll never know........anyways, dessers only on the park a few moments produces that cheeky finish, great goal from him.
 

No idea why we as a fanbase have to kick some of our players.
He was good last season and has had an injury hit season. Some of his performances in Europe have been great.
But nah, he’s shit 🙄

Is it simply that some fans haven’t forgiven his moving to the EPL comments?
I’m actually not sure that any of our players other than Butland have escaped the “shit” tag at some point this season.
 

Said as much to my mate heading to work today.....twice we fucked it away to Killie after the winter break and it had a snowball effect on performances.....tonight sees a shift in mentality, it was a banana skin in the making but handled superbly

A lot of credit due to Butland.

The 3 Hibs defenders all looking the wrong way, the goalie caught flat-footed having moved first to his left now trying to go right, and big Cid, eyes on the prize, Matrix-like steers the ball using the 4th dimension into the corner of the net.

A few points from the game:
Get rid of VAR causes more controversy than it’s supposed to sort out put the pressure back on the referee and his linesman that’s what they get paid for.
Dessers’ is turning into a quality striker and if he keeps on improving will easily get 20+ goals a season and that’s without taking the penalties 
Sterling is great in midfield this is definitely his position now
Yilmaz is growing into the left back role why sell him to bring in a new player in that position we know what we’ve got with him in this role…great going forward but not so good defending but that’s how we play as a team
finally, get the deal done and Lundstrum sign the new deal 

That was about as routine a win as you'll ever get away at Easter Road. 
 
There was slight issues with Cantwell before his goal and Raskin not being great but all in all a procession with some nice football and three good goals. 
 
Ridvan was brilliant again and on that form Lunny is vital to us and must be kept. Butland making a couple of top saves again as well.

i just hope he has a role at the club, he was part of two incredible European journeys that we never thought was possible especially when football is ruled with money so to get to those two finals was amazing, steven being part some incredible highs and amazing moments that i don't think it could be duplicated, the the term "rolls royce of a player" gets said a lot by the support and tbh it's a title he's earned the right to be called.

Consummate professional and no doubting he loves the club.
Bastard way to have to end it but thats the way it goes.
Would be happy for him to be involved with the club going forward, perhaps as the UKs record cap holder a role with Youths is more suited to him as he is a great role model for any youngster coming through.

Shame injuries took him down, I think he wanted to go on playing and keep collecting Northern Ireland caps.

Brilliant player. Absolutely great player. A very decent scoring record against that lot for someone who wasn’t renowned for being a goal scorer too. 
Love the one in 2009 where he scores while sliding seamlessly into a slide celebration. 
 
 

Now there is a  footballer to emulate, what a wonderful career he had.
