  1. If the Morelos and Sands calls were both wrong. Then the Dessers call is wrong. If the Morelos and Sands calls were both right, the Dessers call was right. If the Morelos Call was wrong, the Sands call was right and the Dessers call as wrong, then you are clearly just seeing everything like the mutants do and demanding everything goes for you and nothing goes against you. Its as simple as that.
  2. In which case Dessers then initiates contact with the scum player...
  3. Holy fuck, this thread is turning into a fever dream. Im no even sure who is saying what now. Every cunt is arguing with me whilst also saying all the other cunts arguing with me are wrong too.
  4. I dont see why it would possibly make it more of a foul if both players were going for a loose ball rather than one of them actually being in possession and in the process of kicking it. Surely if the player who kicks the player is not even been in possession of the ball, it would make it more of a foul, not less of one? Im pretty sure you are arguing the opposite way you are intending...
  5. There are genuinely 3 different opinions now coming out of this.
  6. Im the same. Just thoroughly interview them before had to make sure they also aint prone to any mental 'dogs and caravan' like soundbite as well.
  7. Im the same. Genuinely think the league is most likely gone anyway. They have a decent lead already with a load of their main players yet to come back. Might as well blood in King and see if he can pick up some experience. Wouldnt be against Rice and Lovelace getting plenty of game time either.
  8. Reekin by the two of them then. Willing to give Sterling the benefit of the doubt given he is getting played out of position on his second start. Wont get much more leeway though.
  9. Honestly think people are just trying to twist it now to suit their own narrative. I could somewhat respect a decision if they say that St Mirren got fucked over and it should have been a penalty to them. I think trying to say that both Sands and Dessers were the ones being fouled is just wild though.
  10. He plays Kyogo onside being about 4 yards behind the defensive line.
  11. Its a tricky one, I think if you judge it right and get the ball, then it would be adjudged to be fair. Miss the ball and you have been carelesss though. I think we can all agree that the one above on Sands is a freekick cant we?
  12. The reasoning for the rule is the same though. Putting a planted leg in the way of an opponent mid kick of the ball. It endangers both players.
  13. I think its difficult to claim a player in the action of actually kicking the ball does not have control of the ball. I find that a bit of a stretch...
  14. Its a foul in exactly the same way as we got a foul on our behalf against St Mirren. I dont think many of us were saying we got away with one when Sands kicked the boy.
  15. Well apart from the actual ref that has been in the game in the VAR era who explains why it is a foul.
  16. He only comes away with the ball though because he impeded the players strike. Like I said with the Messi example on the last page though, I can understand why it has been brough in on a safety basis. Im not sure I like the rule, but it certainly appears to be one. I think the rule is shite, but it certainly seems to be getting routinely implemented, both for and against us both domestically and in Europe.
  17. Im veto'ing this one because if there gathers any form of momentum in the potential manager threads, there will be a million its 24 hours away jokes.
  18. The easiest way I can think to describe it is that if the celtic play had actually been one of our strikers, just about to kick the ball into the net, and someone had come in to challenge, missed the ball and cause our players strike to get blocked, then I would be looking for a penalty. You cant challenge for the ball, miss it and cause the other players attempt to strike the ball to be blocked.
  19. Its a bit of a daft rule to be honest, and I think it should be a penalty if honest. I do understand why they have changed it though from a safety perspective. Putting a planted foot in front of someone attempting to kick the ball away endangers both players. Messi is lucky as fuck he didnt get his ankle snapped trying to win that penalty there. And that is exactly what it was, trying to get a penalty by putting his leg in the way of a kick.
  20. He couldnt put his left foot down because Dessers leg literally blocked it mid air and his momentum was taking his body forward. Of all the weird takes mate, this might be the most wild. This is less an argument about VAR and now your kinda taking issues with Isaac Newton's laws.
  21. Apparently the rule was brought in as guidance after this:- Was to stop players endangering themselves and the opposition by trying to win fouls by putting their leg in the path of someone playing the ball. Messi got the penalty for this, one, but the guidance changed after, which is why the more modern refs take on view of it and the guy who have been retired since it was introduced have a different view.
  22. Thats nonsense mate. If you are looking to see if a ball has been played or not, or if a hand has touched a ball or not, VAR can only help to clear this up. The player didnt 'fall unnaturally looking for a foul' the cunt tripped a belter.
  23. The clear and obvious thing is a bit weird. Something that isnt clear and obvious at full speed can be clear an obvious when shown from a different camera angle slowed down on VAR. A foul is a foul. If someone slides in and fractionally missed the ball but completely clears out a player might not be a clear and obvious penalty, but as long as you have the technology there to show if he got the ball or not, it should be used.
  24. The Morelos one was fucking shite. The one yesterday was fair enough though.
  25. Can anyone get the search function on this site to fucking work? If so, can you find a link to the match thread about the Rangers v Dortmund match? I can find the away match thread, but no the home one. I cant remember who actually mentioned it, but there was a specific case with a foul similar to the one we are discussing that introduced this scenario into the game. I think it involved Messi kicking a defender and either him or the defender getting a bad injury.
