  1. Always wondered why we seem to stick to lager/betting sponsors. But until the Scottish game as a whole improves and attracts more viewers then it’s what we’re stuck with. Mind you there’s a few clubs down in England that have red32 or some other betting brand. Maybe it’s not that bad. Hopefully in the future we can get the owner of quantas airline do a PSG
  2. Good designs. Would prefer the red one to have blue shorts but other than that no complaints..
  3. I don’t think so.. you’ll always get young kids supporting the winning teams like Man City, etc but I’ve never met a Rangers supporting family with any young kids that support the harbourers. The after events of 2012 playing Peterhead’s etc won’t have been as negative on kids as you might think. After all we were winning (albeit expected) nearly every week and whilst playing to a rubbish standard but kids are really only interested in the team winning. Everything else is just noise to them. A factor if any that would’ve been detrimental was the sd boycott but I still think it would’ve been minimal. I know families where if they couldn’t get hold of a Rangers top they’d just get their kid another blue top wether it be Chelsea, Everton, or the old Italy top. Just the fact it was blue and they could wear it whilst watching the Gers on tv.
  4. Well certainly a better top the 2003
  5. Brilliant footage from their end. Love it how they just dispersed after Rogic sent it into orbit
  6. He’s right. As things stand we need a 10-15 goals midfielder, a 2nd striker to chip in with another 10 atleast, a commanding centre half and another wide man that can get a few assists.
  7. Well this is really his last push for us imo. Failure next year regardless and it’ll be time to go
  8. Yet to be convinced about Murphy. I know he’s injured but let’s be honest he hardly looked the part before his injury. Hes decent but not a starter for me. Not if we want to win the league anyway, grezda looks a donkey, Middleton is raw and predictable, yet to see jones properly, and Kent is best played more central. The right hand side is weak aswell. I can’t believe how quick candeias seems to be yet we never see him go past a man.
  9. Tbf I don’t think there’s much between worral and katic. I think the fact forests valuation if him has made a lot of our fans think we should be seeing someone as good as Carlos cuellar. But 15 million in the English bubble is equivalent to our 2-3 million fees that we’d be hard pressed to pay. It’s chicken feed to them down there. i preferred katic at the start as we looked hard to break through and he was looking like a no nonsense ‘av it’ kind of defender that would pose a threat a set peices. Gerrard did the lad no favours when he would bring him in out of nowhere and I think it was against livvy or Hamilton away where he had a shocker- probably to be expected given he’d lost his place in an instant. Worral for his lack of challenge on eduard the other week and his usual odd lapse was really good in the europa league and against the tims at home. Going forward I hope to see our own player on the team sheet between now and the start of next season as I think we miss a defender that can head a ball clear
  10. The way murty hung him out to dry in the 40th minute in the semi final was disgusting, no wonder miller and Wallace lambasted him and the rest for having no effort. i do t think Pedro or murty showed Andy Halliday any respect or confidence whatsoever and that was mirrored in his nervous performances. What a turn around under Gerrard. He’d run through a brick wall for this club and he may not have the overall quality but he has the heart of a Ranger and will do his best for us. I hope he’s still at Rangers when we eventually lift a trophy
  11. I don’t know what state the club was like on the inside when king took control but right now we atleast have players that hate losing. You can tell by this teams reaction to a narrow defeat at park head with 10 men compared to last seasons abomination losing heavily and the lack of fight in those teams. We lack quality there’s no doubt but we have something to build on now. with regards the latest sfa carry on the board will do and say nothing. It’s quite unfortunate as we’ve already seen the bigot and their board issue statements about how brown is exemplary and a great man and the charge will be contested robustly. Our board have a lot still to learn and for the life of me I can’t understand they are so reactionary whereas Timothy is always proactive.
  12. It’s a ridiculous charade the whole sfa disciplinary carry on. Pointless and no holds no integrity whatsoever
  13. Decisions seem to have gotten worse since the meeting between managers except Clarke and the refs/sfa.
  14. There’s a reason we were more solid when Morelos went off and that’s because the players had to take responsibility instead of always looking to give him the ball. you could see in the second half that without Morelos the players were trying to be inventive and take the game to celtic. The players have cheated us time and again by always looking for Morelos to bail the team out when it’s shown they do actually have it in them to dictate games etc
  15. This is why we’ll never improve.. failure to see what’s right infront of our eyes
  16. There’s a difference between the 2 captains of both clubs. One can get players to react and spoil their own game and throw himself into tackles and clearances where the other one made a bumbling mistake and crosses instead of hammering towards to the goal. one is simply a winner and the other a perennial loser. im just glad for a True Rangers man like Halliday shows his hurt and anger at losing at the end.
  17. Still baffles me why a born leader like stevie picked this guy to captain the club. Maybe it was a stop gap until more improved players are signed
  18. Not seen the vid but for me the best goal for passing and tearing a team apart together with a fantastic finish is Wallace’s vs Dortmund.
  19. Blaming one club totally for national teams failures is just moronic. Why not ask why clubs thought it would be good to kick a main contributor of national team players to the bottom of Scottish football? We couldn’t attract any decent young players and the ones we had in ness and McCabe decided to leave. The ones we kept were only just good enough for leagues 1 and 2 but somehow after being robbed and financially hamstrung by certain groups like Ashley’s men we are meant to be supplying players from the academy? Maybe if he’s that in the know he should point out the players we have which are ready to play 1st team football week in and out which will improve us and also be able to take a kicking from the hoof ball merchants like Allan power and the whole Motherwell team.
  20. Suppose you could say the same about anywhere.
  21. Considering mcallister is highly thought of by leeds fans then I can’t really see a leeds fan that leans towards celtic hitting him.
  22. Although there’s lots of leeds/celtic fans here in leeds I doubt it would be one of those. There’s lots of idiots out there that would attack any famous person just for being famous.
  23. Thing is when buying fringe players from the premier league is they are always going to be over priced. Add the fact that he’s played more games here in one season than his last 3 years, so I think that by the time December came he was out on his feet. Maybe he shouldn’t have been but the physical demands of Scottish kick ball and more games would definitely have had an effect on him.. I remember his og at spartak that was total embarrassment. he could totally turn out to be a stalwart next year after a full season under his belt but I think he needs help beside him and the way Gerrard all of a sudden just changes defenders about doesn’t help him.
  24. Everything that’s going on in Scotland under this totally incompetent but hand picked sfa is what’s wrong. From national team embarrassments, lack of technical footballers, lack of attendances in the rest of the guff, a trophy which incorporates wales and Northern Ireland’s leagues into it, joke reffing of games, totally inconsistent retrospective action by an idiot, and although it’s a different body the league split has to be the most amateur decision in the history of every decision ever made. Too many are in the game for self gain, now it’s normal in life that everyone wants to gain but surely if the fans and sponsors see a product that’s on par with English league 2 and it’s supposed to be our top division with euro representation every year then anyone with half a brain would push to change things. The sfa should be re-elected for starters- then start at the under 16s and headhunt the best available coaches for that age group and so and so on, upto senior level. Get all the top league teams round a table with a 10 year plan to have atleast 4 youth academy players in the 1st team squad for match days or face financial penalties that go to charity. Do away with Hampden Park unless it’s a match against your frances or Italy’s etc. Games vs San Marino could easily be accommodated at Easter rd,killie etc. After the 5th round in the cup do away with replays- straight to et and pens. Just a few thoughts on how and why the game is so rank in Scotland. They could speak to the German fa. After the embarrassment of euro 2000 they totally restructured.
