  1. Defo a no from me. Tbh it’s going to be difficult no matter what.. most player recruiting has been average to poor but that will only carry on regardless of who manager is.. if Steve Clarke got the gig then we’d highly likely see similar types of average players being signed as that’s what the budget can only buy us. dont forget you have players like worral valued by their parent clubs at around 10 million and if that’s what 10 million buys you in this day and age then we really are up against it with regards catching the taigs. We can point to Morelos purchase but for every Morelos there’s 3-4 duds being signed as that’s what happens in the bargain basement.
  2. It’s not just lunatics in our support that want to bin a manager though. They’re everywhere- was talking to a leeds fan yesterday and he says there’s plenty down elland rd that want bielsa sacked when they lose a few games
  3. Never really liked him over the Pedro appointment and dilly dallying after he left. But he’s said enough there to hopefully warrant an investigation from bbc headquarters in England as to why bbc Scotland are treating 1 club different from the rest.
  4. It’s all well and good calling it Gerrards benchmark but if the players can go from powderpuff draws with hibs and Dundee to being a good match for Villarreal and beating the tims to then losing abysmally to killie to then beating the sheep away tells you that it’s the players who don’t have the winning at all costs mentality. i find it quite a piss take that your main culprits like worral, candeias, arfield, tavernier and goldson can go from world beaters to absolute garbage in a week. But then I remember that these guys are average at best and that’s what you’ll always get from average players. We signed shite under warburton and we binned him. We signed crap under Pedro and we binned him,Murray got 1-2 in last January that weren’t good enough and we binned him. gerrards came in and bought what we could afford- granted some have been disappointing but are we just going to bin Gerrard only to appoint another manager for them to sign average players? Cos that’s all we are going to be affording. And then I suppose we’ll bin that manager.
  5. Just because we spend more money on players that wouldn’t look out of place at Aberdeen and killie doesn’t mean that we’ll automatically be better than them. Average players will raise their game now and again just like the sheep do and then bang they’ll play a few crap games with a draw and a defeat thrown in then revert back to a 2-3 game winning streak and rinse repeat. We keep saying how average celtic are yet they won 13/13 home league games and won another trophy already. They’re team is far superior to ours and everyone else that’s why they win more often than not. So if celtic are average then we are downright rotten.
  6. No chance of us lifting anything. 3 trebles on a trot is a stick on for that lot, we just don’t have a single player capable of winning at all costs. We may get past killie but the sheep will do us up there. The players are fragile wee fannies
  7. Every manager makes mistakes. The main problem we have is average footballers that sometimes play well and other times play horrendous football. The decision making and lack of vision by players, players hoping and expecting others to step up for them. They are all signs of mediocre players. That only significant spending will sort out.
  8. Can’t fault Defoe’s finishing but if we fail to supply him then he’ll do nothing.. something which our fans and midfielders fail to fathom
  9. A lot of our ex players are like those politically correct cunts that get offended over someone else being offended. Bunch of apologists
  10. I wonder if we never received any penalties this past week would Morelos have still been banned? Would Greggs be cited? both have done worse earlier on and not been banned at a time when SG was saying the refs weren’t being fair to Rangers. Yet as soon as we go quiet and get 1 dubious penalty awarded to us the media overdrive has a massive influence on the decisions we will or won’t get between now and the seasons end. It’s so predictable what would happen, someone on here mentioned the tims rolling out some no mark to issue a statement and guess what. Tom Boyd comes out with bolloks about wanting refs to say if they’re in the masons and potentially wanting foreign refs employed. a paid celtic employee said all this and wouldn’t have said it without the backing of the Peado harbourers.
  11. If it means we take 7 points more than celtic then yeah otherwise no
  12. Not even willing to let Davis get match fit before writing him off. all he needs is minutes to be the best midfielder in the league by a country mile
  13. Don’t agree that it corrupts competition. Mulumbu gad a good season last year and not been strong enough to dislodge a 1 legged brown. Bringing that Christie into it,we’ll he isn’t exactly brilliant is he? They loaned that Scott Allan out to hibs and he did nothing, yeah scored against us in the 5-5 game but when we defend the way we do at times we make it easy for opposing players. i think the rule of not being able to play your parent club is good. Imagine mulumbu missing an open net against them in a final or league decider. The uproar would be incredible
  14. Don’t think Defoe is the problem. It’s the lack of quality behind that’s the problem. Yeah we created loads against the tims because they came out to play but the rest as killie away shows we struggled before Defoe came and struggled again. All round the pitch we make daft decisions
  15. Well I’m just going over the 3 times we’ve played them already and only scored 1 goal(a penalty) and not won
  16. We’ve been due a run of wins for 3 years and I think we’ve managed 4 league wins in a row and that was under murty
  17. The problem is regardless of what celtics away games are they win their home games. 12/12. I’ve seen nothing yet which convinced me that we’ll win at pittodrie next week. We can’t be dropping 10 points to killie and aberdeen and then having embarrassing results up at Dundee and Livingston and expect a title challenge.
  18. I think a 4-3-3 only truly works when Kent and candeias are fit. If any were to get injured or suspended then the creativity drops too much and we’d be aswell going a rigid 4-4-2 an asking Davis to do the job Walter asked him.
  19. Morelos is a constant hassle and headache for defenders. Move him back then it makes the oppositions day a bit easier.
  20. Developing players?? At ibrox?? You’re haveming a giraffe mate. We’ve been down that route and unless we’re buying some Portuguese star for 6-7 million it’s a massive gamble. our transfer strategy is far better than previous years. It’s about a blend of younger players with older seniors.
  21. But he will be playing again.. most probably play the majority of our remaining games.
  22. Tavernier actually has had a good season so far. He’s one of the last ones I’d be having a gripe with.
  23. If we finish behind killie and the sheep again then there’s no overall improvement. The results in Europe can only carry abut of weight for so long, fair enough we rose to the challenge vs that lot in 1 game but I look at the squad and club as a whole that we’ve been obsessed with beating celtic over 90 mins that we think it’s job done after we’ve won. davis and Defoe won’t be an improvement for another 2-3 games yet. But I’m really sick of teams with a fraction of our budget being more consistent than us- playing in more finals than us and also finishing above us.
  24. If we lose away at Livingston for a 2nd time in one season then he can pack his bags. It’s borderline already with the amount of dropped points caused by baffling and unsettling decisions.
