This guy has pedigree in a higher quality league than Scotland, experience of winning titles and has competed with big teams in the CL.
There's no guarantee of success but this is an appointment that shows ambition and imagination. On the face of it, looks like we've got a good'un.

He's watched every game this season and still took the job over Saudi money. Guy deserves a medal for that alone

if we were to keep an aging midfielder for one more season, Arfield was the man. 

Needs to get us moving off the ball, only way to break down low blocks. Movement to drag players out of position and to create space. Too often since Gerrard have our teams been like statues off the ball. There’s a lot of teams around the world that face a low block on a consistent basis and the best teams who have the most joy are the ones who can move and make the runs without the ball. 

Hope he gets the backroom team that he wants, and we get a DoF sorted.

well lets face it, the team he played for actually had players that delivered balls into the box, wasn't afraid to take some shots at the goals and not just fanny about outside the box and hopelessly punting long balls up to nobody.
