  1. I mean I would say that's obvious. Within many supporters lifetimes we were regularly buying some of the world's best players. Hardly a surprise the support struggles to accept the current day situation.
  2. This has been our problem for cracking on 20 years now. Appalling state of affairs.
  3. Essentially the same as niko kranjcar. He's as good as a former top player who was utterly crocked and finished.
  4. They're all still decent players, they've just all gotten older and regressed. They'll do a job in other teams, particularly teams that need an experienced player or two to come in. But as it stands this squad is too aged and slow. Goldson today I thought particularly looked like he's lost pace. He'd be fine in a back four that needs and experienced CB. Maybe a championship club he could go in and be their captain even. I still think Lundstrams got enough to offer to justify being in the squad. The other three could arguably all go at the end of the season.
  5. Key player in stopping 10iar and EL final run... Way way way off the mark there.
  6. He's not. 99% of the blame for him wasting that money is on the board. Should never have been in the position to be able to single handedly decide on such an outlay in the first place.
  7. Dessers and lammers being men down means the total number will be two less than what you'd expect
  8. Aye we need to try not to just bin them (dessers and Lammers). They'll be of value to a club somewhere. Avoid having to pay out their contracts and maybe a nominal fee will still save us millions. But I think there's now essentially full agreement we've blown the best part of 8 million on two utter duds.
  9. We've taken a lot of risks on guys known to be injury prone. So predictably enough they end up injured. We've also been unlucky with a few injuries. But those to things combined make it look like a major underlying problem with injuries. Whereas it's a mixture of a bit of bad luck and risky behaviour signing known crocks.
  10. Finally struck me the comparison. He's exactly like niko kranjcar. Like exactly the same. It's like watching the same player. As effective and mobile as the dead on his arse, end of career crock kranjcar that turned up at our door. He at least was a deadwood free transfer most of us knew was likely to prove to be a waste of a salary.
  11. Shite to see how far we've regressed from a couple of years ago
  12. He was a brilliant poster. Im sure he used to like a lot of my posts. And I'd often agree with what he wrote. So sad. Huge condolences to his family.
  13. https://Copy & Paste This Shite..../sport/football/football-news/graeme-souness-deserves-Rangers-free-31262222.amp Nigel Spackman played under Souness during his Rangers revolution in the 80s and 90s and thinks return in advisory role makes sense. That's like a spoof sellik PR headline that. Maybe even did originate from sellik, as why would anyone think it's a good idea. So you're right, no one is suggesting that. But this general feeling having him involved in the running of our club is going to improve our situation, I don't believe he will have much, if anything to offer.
  14. Why would we give souness a free reign to make changes? He's been out of the running of a club for a long time, what on earth would he come up with? He's 70 and when he was doing punditry on Scotland vs England game he looks it. He's lost more than a yard or two of pace, almost getting to the a shame to see it stage. Great guy, legend of his era... Have him around the place shaking hands maybe. But I'm struggling to see a role for him beyond that.
  15. That goal he scored is his special move. When he's got half an hour to tee up a shot he'll place it beautifully. But that's it, that's all he's got. And what use is that playing for Rangers? It's basically what happened at the weekend, end of a domestic game when the team are knackered and he finally gets the time he needs to tee up one of those shots in the box. 4.5 million for a guy to turn up at the end of a game we've already won to add a cherry on the top with an extra goal. We could've afforded that kind of luxury in years gone by when we were buying top level players, but not at the present. Horrendous waste of money.
  16. Called it from the word go with him. Shyster number 1000000 to darken our doors
  17. Same things we being said about morelos. Couldn't possibly sell your star striker. Well we didn't, and he left for nothing, giving up in the last season. We have two months to find a replacement keeper. We're achieving fuck all this season anyway.
  18. Clearly folk have still not got it, no matter what they're saying at the moment about being a selling club. You have to sell your best players at the peak of their form, that's the whole point. And you get whatever a team is willing to pay, not some theoretical figure if the player keeps developing. No one wanted fat morelos at the end, they wanted in his prime banging the goals in morelos. But no one wanted him sold when he was at that point, it was almost universally stated that we had to keep him. The only clubs buying donkeys who clearly aren't going to develop are fannies like us, buying deadwood for a premium like dessers and lammers. So if Butlands our best player, and a club want to pay a decent sum of money for him, then he has to be sold. Otherwise we're not a selling club and still continuing to live in the past.
  19. Having a laugh there mate. Equivalent of gazza and Laudrup in this day in age, we couldn't even afford their wages.
  20. Souttar has done, and will do, fuck all in his career compared to Tav. Souttar can only dream of achieving what Tav his. I know we're hurting at the moment but folk are absolutely losing the plot. It's not tavs fault we've spunked millions upon millions of pounds on shite during the time he's been here. And particularly the signing of Beale as manager. He'll be hurting as well about how it's going.
  21. Fuck me thats mental when you add it up like that. Shocking signings.
