  1. This is it, why spend money replacing hagi with Lammers? Why replace Colak (and to some extent morelos) with dessers? Bafflingly awful wasting of money from us.... For the millionth time
  2. So he's to be strongly commended for that, an glad he's working for us. Perhaps I'm judging him unfairly. I still don't think that means he's fit to be at the top, but maybe that's what he demanded to stay, or he's the best of a bad bunch.
  3. Can you quantify they massive increase in commercial revenue? And how has that impacted our bottom line? If he is responsible for that it is to be commended. But again, that would be a commendable result for a commercial director. That isn't what I'd expect the main positive to be for the person running our club. I didn't like him as soon as I heard him speak in that interview with Boyd that was on sky before a game a while back. Which unfortunately is how I've felt about almost everyone running our club for well over a decade now. Which is a really shite situation.
  4. Rumoured to have been caught sniffing Lammers underwear
  5. How much extra has he brought in? What else has he done beyond that? To be the head of Rangers all you need to be is to be moderately successful in business/ commercial development?
  6. I knew that Bisgrove was a spiv when we had that first interview with him on sky before one of the matches. A spiv amongst a club with a rather unfortunately rich history of spivs over the last decade or so.
  7. I would say the odds of us appearing in this are nil. Will be worked out for the top money clubs to appear, plus whichever clubs with dodgy regimes punt the most amount of money into the right places.
  8. We badly need someone with some serious money and a desire to help us for the better to get involved with us. We're treading water at the moment.
  9. We just have to admit it, they're operating way above us financially, and have been for some time now. They must be one of the top performing clubs in terms of finances almost anywhere. Add to the fact we're a basketcase of an organisation, it all points to us being in bother for some years to come.
  10. Souness has lost a yard or two of pace. Slightly worrying. He is in his 70s tbf
  11. Just want him to retire and we never see him again. Could've handled all five of our guys missing, the players who'd won the league and got us to that final. Tav, barasic, Kent, whoever. Take your penalty and if you miss you gave it your best. But giving that fraud a penalty when he'd done nothing for us but blag a wage....
  12. Really disappointed. We'll learn from this. Understand why the fans are angry, the players in the dressing room are all angry too The thoughts of Rangers captain James Tavernier
  13. Half time, tea time or any time Don't be shy give it a try Explain to the young'uns these days to get ITK Rangers news you had to buy a pamphlet off a guy standing at the front of the savoy centre
  14. With bomber brown, It's not really about him personally, he seems a likeable enough guy if not particularly bright. He's a symbol of the rot that set in a long time ago with the club and wider culture. I don't know if it's complacency, or at belief in the "end of history", but we've gone from a position of dominance to some way behind second. It's the very fact he's been in and around the club for over a decade, both as a de facto lead of the 'revolt' against what was happening to us (eg wheres the deeds), then was silenced by putting him on the payroll as a scout with presumably no relevant experience. How did we get to the point where bomber fucking brown was a key figurehead during our toughest time, and why have we given him a relatively large sum of money over many years to make decisions on who we're signing off of the back of this? Did he really have any credentials as a scout? The only player I remember being mentioned was definitely his choice was Greg Docherty, a poor signing that barely kicked a ball for us. It was like with durrant too. He had career of ups and downs with us and I know we maybe wanted to see him right. We could've had him as a club ambassador, or chuck him a few quid here and there for turning up to events etc. But having him in charge of youth setup for so long when you only had to listen to him for five seconds to know he was way out his depth, why are we doing these things to ourselves? There's been something very wrong with our club with a long long time now. We have needed to modernise, and year after year it doesn't happen and we fall further behind.
  15. After the avoidable car crash that was Pedro, why in the fuck were contemplating Beale for even a second. It was always going to be a step down from Gerrard and beale together. A management team that was already beginning to look a bit dodgy before Gerrard left for villa. Giving him 15m to sign an army of aging journeymen... Utterly baffling and horrifying.
  16. What the fuck does this even mean? How in the fuck have we been scouting players up till now? The big data and video stuffs been around for years now, are we seriously behind the times in not using all that? I thought we'd been talking about overhauls in all this even back in Warburtons time, so what 7 or 8 years ago? Warburton era I thought this was sorted, Pedro was something of a laptop/ PowerPoint manager, Gerrard was supposed to have introduced stuff from the very top of the game... What in the fuck is going on? We are a complete and utter joke at times, and have been for sadly a long time now. And they're admitting they just gave beale money to spend.... FUCKING HELL... A committee on here would've worked out a better way of spending cracking on £15m.... JESUS FUCKING WEPT.
  17. Linked with John Eustace again yasss In my head he's still been training with us all this time, could still come in and do a job. Player manager would be the shout.
  18. Ha! That sort of quick, intelligent thinking is completely absent from our senior management, and has been for decades now.
  19. We backed the wrong horse letting Arfield go and keeping jack.
  20. I think there's a bit of truth in this. It's a small piece of the puzzle, but if you have a core of players in your team that are really playing for the badge it has to be a help. Even Advocaats prime squad didn't really need it, but having Ferguson in there must've given it an edge. But as folk are mentioning, it's hardly a sellik minded squad over the other side of the city at the moment. I doubt kyogo gives the slightest fuck either way, but it was him that stuck it in the net and our donkeys missed (Roofe not included). And think about how laughably bad their 10iar outfit was, Duffy arriving with a pint of Guinness in hand. So OP mostly clutching at straws, but not entirely wrong.
  21. I was dead against the Pedro Experiment from the moment his name was first being mentioned, but I must say I was pro us keeping him until the end of the season even though he's was a dead man walking. I then realised that was wrong when we got rid of him. I think from that it's clear to see this is only going one way and I don't think there's any realistic prospect of beale being here at the end of the season, successful or otherwise. My only question would be are we genuinely going to get someone better in such a short time if we pull the trigger now? I know there's a new manager thread so not trying to mix them up. Not so much which name, but can we really get it turned around quickly enough to make a difference to the season? I'm concerned we'd end up making another mistake if we rush into another appointment.
  22. Folk are so unbelievably harsh on Tav. He's been absolutely tremendous for us. He got us back in the prem, kept us going through the Warburton shite in the prem, and the Pedro disaster. When he finally had a proper team around him he was a key player in us winning the league... AND getting us to the final of the fucking EUROPA LEAGUE for fuck sake... Almost unthinkable really. But he presumably doesn't give it enough of the chest thumping WATP chat, and at times he's maybe just a little bit too honest about the deficiencies of the team and club. Must be an argument for our most underrated player ever. Mind you there's a portion of the support that are probably still convinced Charles Green is the man to come in and save us. So not always the best for opinions. All that being said though I think his best days may well be behind him.
