Him in a team with a few top players he'd be good enough. He'd be a good squad player in years gone by. Unfortunately our team is full of guys like that. We badly lack players who make the key differences in the big games. 

What we have to bear in mind is we are always going to have players that have some deficiencies. If they were top class they wouldn’t be playing for us. We will always have players who lack a yard of pace, or miss too many chances, or are suspect defensively, or are inconsistent. It’s the nature of the beast with the level we play at now.

A new team, barely fluent at passing to each other let alone attacking very well, but already with a concentration and will to graft and make sure they're in position to defend. Heartening.
