The amount of English games finishing nil nil live on sky/bt must be worrying the broadcasters. That was truly awful.

Hearts have got one and my best mate has a memorial for his old man there - a good staunch bloke. Took me to see it when we were on the peeve in Edinburgh. A family tradition for us was for my dads Uncle Leslie to take each generation to their first game. It started because my granddad was serving oversees when my dad wanted to go to his first game. It continued with me being taken by him and I still remember coming home and dad asking Les how it went, Les just nodded and said I was one of the people, dad shook his hand. It was an honour to see him take my son to Ibrox. Sadly passed now but I have rarely came across a more staunch man.

What did Hertz do right? As soon as that woman took charge she booted out all the old guard. Straight away Locke, Hamill, Stevenson and McDonald were shown the door (maybe more?) All that was left were the kids. She had been working behind Lockes back lining up Neilson and Levein. The came in and brought journeymen they could trust plus a few bargains from abroad. All that mattered was getting promoted. Their supporters trusted her and sold out their little ground every home game I think.
