  1. Some people have very fluid principles on this it seems.

I don't think people are giving up their principles. I just hard to watch daily stories appearing about more money being paid out.

Alexander deserves it. Solid keeper who always stepped up when called upon.

It just coloured for some people because of the current situation.

  2. Getting personal now are we ?

Always the first sign that you're losing the argument.

The Boardroom is where the true problem lies and until we have people in there that genuinely care about the club before their own personal gain then we're going nowhere.

We don't need people that care about the club. We need smart, educated businessmen, who want to make money from the club through it making progress.

Unfortunately, with the problems we have at present, we are surrounded by the wrong type. The vultures who are only here to feed.

Until there is stabilisation, on and off the pitch this just won't happen.

I'm not sure Ashley is the answer, but he's the very best option we have had for years.

I don't want anyone associated with the old regime, or frankly any name that has been near the club in the last three years.

Complete reorganisation from top to bottom and an owner that wants to make an income from the club through good business practice is the only option that will work in the long term.

  3. Unfortunately not.

Rangers should always aim to have a great manager, not just a competent, or even good, one. A great one

For me, a great manager can take a team and have them consistently out-perform sides of superior resources and standard of player, either through strategy or motivation. They must also be able to ensure consistently high levels of motivation and performance against those sides with equal, or lesser, resources. I haven't seen that from Ally I am afraid.

Can you name a "great" manager that would take us over at this point in time?

  4. Im completely for Gay Rights etc, im a straight man who is comfortable with his sexuality, ive known many gay women and a few gay men, some of them were sound, some were pricks. I think they should have the same rights as anyone else does.

But I dont understand why every show has to have a gay character, or numerous gay characters, its unrealistic, I work in an office with about 400 people and I know 1 who is openly gay, but if you went by how TV shows make it out to be then there should be about 40 openly gay men in my office.

    every show?

  5. I am not gay, I have never been gay nor would I ever choose to be gay. And this to some is considered homophobic, case in point there was a bus advert in London that said pretty much what I said but added, some people are not gay DEAL WITH It! A Christian organisation put this advert out and they were resoundingly critised for it. Where does this whole thing stop? There is a political activists group that tries to raise awareness of gay rights ( a very laudable cause, I might add) but they had very close links to another group that was advocating that paedophile should be free from discrimination on the ground that barring them from doing so breaches their human rights... (I can't remember the name of the group but once I remember it I'll post it) we need to be careful that we are not opening Pandora box.

again, what a lot of shite

  6. tbf it made me jump a bit when I first watched it.

I'm comfortable enough with my masculinity to admit unexpected, loud noises make me jump.

Balloons explode, Jen. They explode suddenly, and unexpectedly. They are filled with the capacity to give me a little fright, and I find that unbearable.

  7. I think some of the so called journalist like keevins spiers the bald bbc bigot should be up on incitement charges as they wont be happy till their manipulations of the scum end up with decent Rangers fans being hurt or killed.

    you're not wrong.

they've spent a long time trying to light the blue touch paper. it's getting ridiculous now.

  8. look walter smith had us out fought and beat by fbk kaunas a month or so after reaching uefa cup final. And I think if you look closely you will see mccall and butcher added to their squads players which had the technical ability to play nice football. Our preparation last year was a shambles and if you fail to prepare you prepare to fail. A rush of transfers which will result in one or two being rubbish.

There is no manager that doesnt buy success and pretty football

    This is exactly right.

We didn't have another choice at the time. We needed players, and we needed players fast.

We didn't have the luxury of scouting the lower divisions for months on end to find the best players for the division. So we made a choice. To get the best available players, from a league that we knew at the time.

This year is the test. There are no excuses this year.

  9. I'm never one for saying go back to be honest, but the more I think about this, the more I think it's a solid idea.

Over the course of the next few years our squad will be almost entirely comprised of players that played for us pre-admin. That's not particularly a good thing. One of my favourite things about our club is how much our passion filtered through to players and instilled in them a huge love for the club. That's just not as evident these days and will take time to reestablish.

We needs players that are playing for the jersey and a transition period of some old guard players interspersed with new doesn't seem like a bad idea to me at all.

  10. anyone that thinks Berra isn't better than what we have at the moment, by a considerable distance, is absolutely deluded.

we need to think ahead as well. GIve him a few years in a rapidly promoted side, and he'll have value again.

He's a decent centre half, who, even if not first choice, will be solid backup in the top tier as well.

I'm starting to think the people that can't see the difference in quality between this type of player and our current back line (wallace aside) are just fooling themselves, and unprepared to admit the level we are playing at.

  11. WTF happened to Loyalty and respect for the team?

The guy did a good job for us. His form dipped during the turmoil (Duh!) but he was one that gave up 75% wages AND moved over, didn't walk away.

If he does go then good luck to him. I'd rather he stayed.

Reading some of the pish from so called Rangers supporters on here really makes me wonder.

    Solid post.

We're fickle as fuck on here sometimes.

Demand loyalty but refuse to offer it. Fairly ridiculous.

  12. We don't even have a half decent scouting network in place and our boardroom has been a clusterfuck for god knows how long, I predict it will be a long time before we see anything like this happening.

agreed, we're miles behind other clubs I won't mention at the minute.

    very frustrating.
