With the recent improvements we've been seeing with the likes of Halliday/Morelos etc under Gerrard and our apparent need for quality in the centre of the pitch, do you think if he had still been here, Gerrard would have brought back the Niko of old? Or was he simply just too old by the time we got our hands on him?

Could this be a sign that we're sizing up Michael ONeill then?

I know, I know, McCrorie has only really played one and a half competitive games. but based on what you've seen, how would you line up our defence? Personally I think we should be playing as a back three and just take away any defensive duties from Tav/Wallace, which could easily adapt to a back five when we're in the middle of the usual 2nd half panic stations. But that's just me, what about you?

Well, I'm bitterly disappointed in that but cant say I'm surprised... What do you expect when you're up against a first 11 that probably cost around 60mil, when our first 11 probably aren't even a 3rd of that. Just so much more quality than we're able to afford at the moment.

This season I've been doing a weekly accumulator; scum and sheep to win, Rangers to lose. I'm almost treating it like my sacrifice to the Gods to will the opposite outcome. And if things don't go my way, at least the extra money softens the blow...

I have a confidence in Morelos I haven't had with a Rangers forward in a long time. His goal yesterday, when I saw him winding up for the shot, I knew it was going in the back of the net. If that had been Waghorn, it was a certainty it was ballooning over the bar.

I was actually thinking about this after the game. Every game recently come the second half we're just like a deer in headlights. For the first 20-25 minutes of games we always seem to look comfortably the better team. Up until half time the game tends to go a bit quiet. 45-70 minutes in and we just look like a bunch of amateur school boys. then the end of the game we start playing with the sort of intensity we should have been playing the whole game at.

If Niko isn't blowing out his arse after 10 mins and Kenny stays in position then this should be an easy win. If its business as usual for them both then it could be a long game....

So what's the deal with BT Sport choosing to air the complete non event up in Dundee over our game? I hope their viewing figures are shite!

McKay was never going to work out under Caixinha. I imagine his relationship under Warburton was very much a daddy/daughter type thing where he gets tucked in every night with a bedtime story and told what a special boy he is. If McKay isn't getting that then he doesn't perform. I just hope we have a sizable sell-on value for him because he'll probably thrive in midtable Championship mediocrity.

Never thought after the past few months we've had that I'd be sitting here today saying we were the better side against Marseille...

Going by today's performance, they'll probably enjoy the trip away more with Rangers not playing...

He could have got Waghorn for cheaper I would bet! Pretty telling that they're not in for any of our players yet signs the likes of Cummings.
