  1. Who is Paul?! Ehm, I'm a Protestant (for all it matters, religion means nothing to me), but a decent person.
  2. I came on here to see what Rangers fans were saying about the Morton game, and to chip in a few things from the Morton viewpoint. I expected to get some abuse, doesn't bother me at tall, but It's good to see that there are some decent guys on here, interested in talking football. Guys like the poster I'm quoting though, he's the type that should be getting barred from your site, not fans of other clubs that actually want to talk about the game. Oh, favourite bet in Greenock today is a Morton win, with both teams to score. I won't be investing, as I never bet on Morton!
  3. Last time I saw Morton play Rangers in league at Cappielow I was a school boy, Souness was in charge. 3-2 Morton that day. Set up for a very good game.
  4. Very quick. Reported as the quickest player on the books at Swansea. Good thing about him is that he is very strong with it too. Had the chance to play pro rugby, so a physical type. A couple of minutes from Morton manager about the Rangers game included in this.. http://inverclyde-tv.com/stories/5684-view-from-the-dugout-25th-september-2015
  5. Not sure what Livingston and Dumbarton did, but I'm pretty sure Morton will play on the counter-attack, as we have a couple of very quick forwards. Will look to exploit any space in behind the Rangers defence if they have pushed up. Morton don't really have the players to 'park the bus' though, so I don't think you'll see two banks of 4 sitting in deep. Unless we're defending a lead late on of course
  6. Are the above supposed to have been written by me!? I did join this site a few years ago, think I was on it for one day, can't recall why. Maybe at the time you were having troubles and I was passing comment on it.. really can't remember. No idea what the above are though. Certainly not written by me. Someone also mentioned I liked commenting on 'McConville's blogs' - no idea what that's about either - never heard of it. Anyway, as I always thought about Rangers fans, some are decent, but some.. wow. (Oh, my own brother is a season ticket holder at Ibrox, which I've never quite understood as he used to be a Morton season ticket holder, but there you go!)
  7. I would be shocked if Morton were to lose anything like 4-0 to Rangers. It would take Morton's worst performance at home in a couple of years to lose so heavily. Rangers favourites, but expecting Morton to score, and really wouldn't rule out Morton getting something out of the game. Morton unbeaten in 6 and were by far the better team against SPL Motherwell the other night. The tight pitch, at what is now a sold-out Cappielow, will be a bit of a strange experience for most of the Rangers team. Going to be interesting.
  8. I've posted on many sites of opposing teams, never had an issue, even with our rivals in Paisley. Oh well, some of you are not doing your clubs image any favours. Shocker.
  9. Does your site not allow opposition fans? Jeeze.. Our own forum has regular posters from other clubs, some have been on for years. Of course if anyone is offensive they get punted, but discussion and banter is part of forums surely..
  10. Not having Gasporotto is a pity, as he has been in good form. He'd have missed the game in any case, as he is away with the Canada u23 squad for 2 weeks. Morton have a lot of young boys that are fit and give their all. Duffy deliberately kept the majority of the team from last season as he thought their attitude as a group was great. Have lost our top striker from last season, but the two loanees up front (from Birmingham and Swansea) are both pretty good. As I said, I think Samuel from Swansea might cause Rangers some problems, be could clearly be playing at a much higher level. Very quick and strong. A few weeks ago the majority of the Morton support wouldn't have been particularly confident about facing Rangers, but are now looking forward to it. Being honest I'd go for a narrow Rangers win, but you never know...
  11. We do have 20 year old Alec Samuel on loan from Swansea. Played his first full game against Motherwell mid-week and scored 2. Apparently the fastest player on the books at Swansea - certainly none of the Motherwell defenders came close to matching him for pace. Morton won't put 10 men behind the ball. We took the game to Motherwell and will probably set-up much the same on Sunday. Will be a few different players in for us though - our manager rested several regulars against 'Well. Pretty confident Morton will score, just need to wait and see how many Rangers get! A lot of confidence in the Morton team at the moment, a hard working lot that will be well up for Sunday. Rangers favourites, but it could be one of your toughest games of the season so far.
  12. Just seeing what you guys are saying about your trip to Cappielow on Sunday. Can't help but 'admire' the confidence of the majority of your support. Morton are unbeaten in 6. Beat Motherwell in the League Cup this week after extra time - a travesty that Motherwell got a draw in 90 minutes. Morton actually rested 4 of the regular starting 11 against Motherwell. No doubt Rangers are favourites for Sunday, but if not on top form you might struggle. Oh, and look out for Morton's 20 year old striker Alec Samuel - on loan from Swansea. He made his first start against Motherwell and gave them all sorts of problems, scored two. Very strong and quick, apparently the fastest player on the books at Swansea. Cappielow heading towards a 10k sell-out, an extra burst of sales after the victory over Motherwell.
