  1. It’s a shame Gaethjes nose was gubbed at the end of the first round. Max was phenomenal though and it took some balls to stand and bang during the last 10 seconds of a fight where he had already won it. I screamed out loud when Gaethje was KO’d with 2 seconds to go and my daughter came downstairs to make sure I was ok.

  2. It’s been a very strange season for the Chiefs. Phenomenal to be to champs twice in a row now. The defence has won it for us. We have dropped so many balls in the regular season it was ridiciulous. We managed to come alive in the play offs. The 49ers seemed to get the better of us in the Superbowl but we seem to pull it out the hat. We were down against the 49ers a few years back and also the Eagles last season and somehow manage to win all 3 games. I’m hoping we can get some players that can catch a ball next season and be a bit more like what we have been offensively in the last few seasons as something has been missing this year which is mental as we still won the thing and yet I’m complaining.

  3. Anyone else make an occasion of the Superbowl or do you just watch it at home?

It’s turned into a tradition now where a group of us make it a day out. Start in the afternoon playing pool, head to Glasgow, wee pub crawl and then watch the game in the NYC bar. Makes for a great day but have the fear for the aftermath tomorrow.
    Mon the Chiefs

Anyone see anything other than another Chiefs - 49ers superbowl?

I think the Chiefs will beat the Bills but that the Superbowl will be Ravens vs 49ers

    Not like me.

Just noticed he has been liking alot of Rangers news over the past few weeks.

Looks like this has been confirmed for a while and by coincidence announced when supporters have started asking questions very recently on forums and social media.

I think it has been announced now because the AGM is coming up.

I'm in the minority in thinking, but I have gone right off Cantwell. Do the talking on the park son, and not on Instagram. He has not kicked a ball this season and everyone lauding him is based on last year's performances. He thinks he is better than he is and thinks he's hard. Not true.

Yes, I agree. We are currently playing him out of position, but good players learn to adapt.

His subliminal social media posts need to end, and if Bennet, Bisgrove, or Beale can't see it and fine him, then we have bigger problems than I thought.

Posting 56 after that performance is 100x worse than Roofe's subliminal message, yet Roofe is the one vilified even though I kind of see what he tried to say, although probably not the right timing in doing so.

I agree that I would prefer if he didn't post stuff on social media and concentrate on doing his talking on the park. I think he is still probably our most talented player. The issue is that last season he was mainly played further up the field. Most of the games this season he has been played back in the midfield 3. His workrate is great but I think his game is being hindered as he is getting caught up more in trying to do the cover for other players and is doing more of the "dirty work" rather than being used as a playmaker.

I think the reaction has been so intense because a lot of people went along with him and have just realised they have been completely conned.

It's like finding out the Merc you bought has a Lada engine and the clock wound back 60,000 miles.

Similar to what you say here, I said to my mates I watched the game with that Beale is coming across to me like a Used Car Salesman. He can try and talk a good game but apart from hitting balls into the box and hoping for the best I don't really see what he is trying to achieve.

The alarms bells have been going since preseason as I just couldn't see the basis of anything we could build on. I usually back managers a bit longer than most but all I am seeing are red flags.

  8. Lawrence seems like an upgrade on Arfield to me rather than Kent.

He has a similar energy about him and similar ability to do late runs into the box that Arfield is good at. Add in being a better player and his ability to shoot then we shouldn’t resign Arfield as I think Lawrence will do that job well (if he fully recovers from injury).
