Dunno what young folk would call it nowadays, mid press or something, but it worked a treat. Sat at the half way line and aggressively pressed when they crossed it, playing on the counter from that. Caused them a lot of problems from that with Cantwell pulling the strings feeding the energy, if not quality, of Sakala and Matondo.
Manager was on the ball the day.

This whole mygers points system is like exploitation of a loyal fanbase and ritual humiliation. Most fans i speak to have nothing good to say about it apart from how much they feel the club is ripping the pish. Feel bad for folk having to pay for it to get on a list for a chance of a ST.

Because we lost due to two shite mistakes and a goal wrongfully chopped off when we are playing away with absolutely no fans.
I know loads on here love to treat any defeat as the end of the world, and that the manager should be sacked, the players all sold and the board taken out and executed, but there is not much between the sides.
We have massively improved under Beale and we just need a bit of luck to go our way.

I’m in the same boat I think. Even the on form version in recent years hasn’t got enough goals, and isn’t clinical enough. You’re waiting for him to let us down at some point each season.
Colak isn’t the answer either, but he’s shown even for a low level fee you can get a good return. If we’re freeing up £35k a week you’d expect a quality replacement.
