  1. 🙂 I may have to change my user name to redwhiteandcharles...
  2. Not my area of expertise, however, i understand the football work permits in Scotland and England are different so he would not automatically qualify for an English one but would, as you say, have to go through the appeals panel. Hopefully he will stay another year to make his move to the EPL easier and for bigger money
  3. Nope. Poorly phrased on my part... it may encourage him to stay for another season to get more international caps... win for us, win for him
  4. The other concern is that he does not currently meet the requirements for a work permit in England. May be ways around it but top clubs in the EPL may not want the hassle.
  5. Killie have nothing left to play for so we'll beat them on Saturday. We will also beat Aberdeen, McInnes chokes against us home or away. Hibs ? who knows, could be a no pressure on play well and win all the way through to being over-run as they aim to finish second.
  6. I read it differently; the author appears to be saying that the problem is next season; our strikers scoring goals this season will, according to him, have a much worse next season... and that we should be looking at strikers who have a poor season this time as they will more chance of having a better next season... the concept is interesting; but the statistical data in the report is too weak. file under "pish"
  7. not sure that "redwhiteandmyimagination" is that much better ! :)
  8. yeah, don't really care tbh true, but I've had this for nearly 5 years and as I don't post that often I'm OK. but thanks for your concern
  9. :) I joined way back in 2012 and tried to get the user name redwhiteandblue but that was already taken (and, as I am not into the orange order aspects, I didn't want redwhiteandpurple or orange). at the time Charles Green was doing what appeared to be a good job so I gave a nod in his direction with redwhiteandgreen and its kinda grown on me. it gets raised every couple of years by someone...
  10. what a load of bull. It should be the proudest moment of any player's career to represent their country. And Scotland is our country.
  11. Jeez; is he living in the 1800's ? family is much more important than football or sexuality !
  12. be careful; the entire A9 from Perth to Inverness has average speed cameras (or at least it seems like it) .. no rocketing along anymore
  13. better hope none of our guys like green salad for lunch .....
  14. LOL; its a long story involving Charles Green and the availability of user names.....
  15. and just saw the NI result; well done to them as well !
  16. unlucky Scotland; the team has done us proud as a nation
  17. They are representing my country; of course I will be supporting them and wanting them to win; its just a bonus that we are playing England. And, as for the couple of Scotland haters from Ulster who commented in this thread; why comment on another countries national team ? Your team is in Baku on Sunday.
  18. 11 yes voting SNP members who are republican roman catholics from crossmaglen.... if they can win us the title again. football ability is much more important than nationality, colour or religion
  19. I'm curious, not being offensive, but how have they stabilized the club ? we still don't have a retail income, we still are living on loans from season to season (albeit soft ones), we have nobody involved who has the cash, or the ability (DK may have cash but its stuck in SA under the watchful eye of SARS), to invest the large amounts needed (even if it would be allowed under the flair play rules for Europe) and the stadium may need serious money spent on it in the future. We have a manager that started really well and may come good again and some players that could be worth a decent sum (Fod, McKay, Windass (maybe)) so the board have that going for them but we have reached a plateau under DK and this board and they cannt take us any further.
  20. well, we have kept the lights on and the bills up to date (I assume); that adds up to large sums over the season. until we stop needing loans to make it through the season I cannt see where the large spending on players will come from. I have no faith in DK being able or willing to spend his own money.
  21. A wee scrote of a player; really annoyed me with his antics.
  22. depends if your contract has a break clause. if there is no break clause then you need some goodwill from your current employer. If that is not happening, you can buy out your own contract, you can sulk like a little kid and refuse to work or you can be professional and give your employer what they are paying you for. Allan (or anyone else) cann't just walk out, Hibs will still hold his registration. from what i have read so far from all sources, Allan appears to be doing the professional thing at the moment; but if he starts to take the sulking route then Hibs are within their rights to stick him playing with the youths until his contract expires. its cutting their own noses off, but they could do it to make a point.
  23. Impressive ! while you can argue how significant some of them were, that is at least a 10:1 ratio in favour of Catholic fascist dictators.....
