  1. I am registered on almost every clubs website I like to read the opinions of others and answer critiscm of my club from a fans viewpoint Hell I have even posted on the Dunfy forum.
  2. Firstly let me say I am a Falkirk fan who has no great affection for the Old firm. But it saddens me that a club with the fan-base and world wide recognition of Rangers has fallen to the depths that it has. Why (those of you still reading will ask?) 1. As a Falkirk fan I can sympathise with the genuine Rangers fans who fear for the clubs very survival. Because as a Falkirk fan I have been there I have lived this nightmare. Thankfully for me Falkirk’s debt was not of the magnitude that faced and faces Rangers. Falkirk got lucky the people who came to our rescue were genuine Bairns who cleared our debt by digging deep and fostering a we are in this together attitude with the fan base who also played their part by paying players and staff wages by fund raising. 2. Scottish football needs a strong fiscally viable Rangers .Who above all else have to be a Rangers which other clubs fans do not have as their default setting as the bad guys of Scottish football. 3. I have no wish to see Scottish football diminished by the complete destruction of Rangers Football Club. Having said that. Rangers Football Club and their fans need to accept that the actions of David Murray, Craig Whyte and Others both at boardroom level and below have tarnished their clubs reputation. Also the actions of certain elements of your fan-base have eroded much of the sympathy that fellow football fans did have for your plight. Now from a true outsiders perspective. Here Is what I think has to happen. 1. Accept that through no fault of the Club or it’s fans you are now to all intents a purpose a new footballing entity which unless it is willing to accept the liabilities of it former incarnation has no right’s to it’s place in the SPL (Which to be fair to most Rangers fans they do accept) 2. As a fan-base you are woefully divided this needs to be rectified without unity as a group. You and your club will be easy targets for shysters and Conmen out for a fast buck. 3. Encourage your club to accept the challenge of rebuilding from the 3rd Division . Because with your hard-core fan base and the facilities which you have at Murray Park and Ibrox . The Rangers youth system should be able to provide the foundation of a successful on the park squad in the 2nd and 3rd division once promoted to the 1st I would say additional funds would have to be released for more experienced players to be recruited but as some on here have already pointed out which sound fiscal management your club should have no problem doing that. 4. Now comes the hard part as a club and as fans of that club you really need to build bridges with other clubs and fans. Because if this episode in your clubs history has proved anything it is that without the good will of others no-one or no thing is to big to fail. The No One like’s Us We Don’t Care/ WATP days have to be put behind you . Because that above all else is why so many clubs fans have been baying for your clubs humiliation. I hope that you read this and accept it as a genuine attempt to explain the viewpoint of many Non-Old Firm fans Yours with sympathy A Falkirk Bairn
  3. well they have shamed Rangers as well so I can understand it. How can the Captain behave like that and not too many of us will be sad to drop Baz will Edu get in now? Or Davis in the mid and Aaron on the right. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ers/7981287.stm BBC report of the rumor
  4. Hearts have know said that Rangers will not be handed tickets for games at Tynecastle either http://www.heartsfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/H...1349815,00.html
  5. Falkirk's reaction has been a little stronger than just words http://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/club-news/ticke...-rangers-5.html
  6. In case you haven,t noticed Big Yogi's a Hibee and did Falkirk no beat Celtic Twice last year
  7. You did those who fell fight the evil that was Facism in 1939-45 were are Heros who should be remembered those who fell in 1914-18 were led to war by those who put God King and Country before common sense (I view WW1 as a family squabble that got out of hand) but the men who fell in that war should be remember with pride because they died believing they were fighting for freedom. However neither of these Wars had anything to do with the Act of Union apart from the fact we might not have been involved in WW1 if we had been an independant nation. I remember these words when Rememberence Sunday comes round First they came for the Communists, and I didn't speak up, because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up, because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up, because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me. by Rev. Martin Niemoller, 1945 We shall remember them all those brave men and women who have fallen for freedom and democracy and those that have fallen in Wars which have and had no reason we shall remember their scarfice too. No flying the Union flag celebrates the Union not those who fell for freedom or otherwise. I know that I see those who died in the pointless WW1 as a cruel waste of a generation of men from many nations. It seems that many see it in a different way
  8. Excuse me Blue, this is a serious question. What does flying the Union Flag at a football game have to do with the brave men and women who have died in armed conflict? I mean, I agreen we should never forget them, but what does waving a Union Flag at a Rangers game have to do with them? Sorry i didn't reply. I haven't been on. On answer to your question i think about why we should fly the Union Flag i will say this. Do you have a problem with any other football club flying the flag of their nation? I don't. We should fly the Union Flag at Ibrox as we have done for over a century because we are proud to live in this country and we want to show it. That is the reason. And as for what Rangers have to do with the men and women who died for our country i ask you this. Do you not think that on the year we commemorate 300 years of Union that it is only fair that we remember all those who fought to keep it that way? And if we are going to commemorate the Act of Union then we should be doing it in their name and for their sake. After all, if they hadn't given their lives on the battlefield the chances are that we would be under fascist rule and therefore there would be no Rangers. We should be thankful to all those who fought under the same flag that we will fly against Hapoel Te-Aviv and will continue to fly. That is why the Union Flag is important to us. We are proud of our nation and therefore hold the right to show it. Hold on The war againest Facism from 1939 to 1945 had nothing to do with the Act of Union. And I remember those who fell in that struggle on the 11th of November For God King and Country mean very little to me but those who died in WW 2 were not fighting for those ideals or the Union they were fighting againest one of the most evil regimes in history they were fighting for democracy not the Bloody Act of Union.
  9. Twice in recent times has the spirit if not the actually legal points of the act have been broken. The Poll Tax was introduced in Scotland 12 months before it was introduced in the rest of the UK a clear breach of the Act of Union. The refusal of the Westminister Government to debate the Iraq war was also another breach in the contract of the Act. The Spirit ? Its laid out in Black & White Gus...so its either broken or not. What has the Labour Party's failure to debate a topic in the House of Commons got to do with breaching the Act of Union ? Please Read That the kingdom of Scotland be not charged with any other duties laid on by the Parliament of England before the union except these consented to in this treaty, in regard it is agreed that all necessary provision shall be made by the Parliament of Scotland for the public charge and service of that kingdom for the year 1707; provided nevertheless that if the Parliament of England shall think fit to lay any further impositions by way of customs, or such excises with which by virtue of this treaty Scotland is to be charged equally with England, in such case Scotland shall be liable to the same customs and excises, and have an equivalent to be settled by the Parliament of Great Britain; with this further provision, that any malt to be made and consumed in that part of the United Kingdom now called Scotland shall not be charged with any imposition on male during this present war. . . .
  10. As to the Act not being popular at the time the populace of Scotland was almost completely againest the act only the merchants, Aristocrats and those who had money invested in the Darien scheme were in favor. The COS was bribed by the enshrineing in law it's independance from the COE Another fact overlooked by many is the simple fact that Scotland was bullied into the Union by England who had blockaded scottish ports refused rights of passage and trade to Scots merchants in England and it's colonies and amassed an army three time the size of Scotlands on the Scottish border. The english also payed Spanish, Dutch and French priveteers to distrupe Scottish trade to the Baltic, Russian and Germanic states
  11. Let me break down the third Rangers bid for you all 135K up front rising by a further 35K after 20 first team apperances then by a further 35k after 40 first team apperances A total of 215k over nearly three years why would anyone assume Falkirk would find this acceptable My source is very close to a very angry club director.
  12. Just a wee note to Dillinger that last player who moved from Falkirk to Rangers directly was one Fraser Wishart the Fee a free transfer since that transfer Falkirk have played Rangers less than 12 times in all comps were have the Rangers been pouring money into Falkirk FC pockets. Rant over
