It's a bit harsh when he saved our bacon on several occasions with some  heroic saves. Yes he made a mistake with the Hippolyte rocket, but he hasn't played a game since the end of the last season in Poland,so he would be a bit rusty at the moment.
No way should Foderingham be rested at this point in time. I would definitely put Gostomski on the bench instead of Bell,though.

We did so many things right today, putting the ball in the back of the net would have finished it off. We are playing some attractive football though so neutrals might be attracted to that, I liked that game on TV, in past years we have had some games that you think, everybody in Britain can see this.

If I had been a neutral I'd have liked that match. As cup games go, it was a great game of football. The attendance wasn't bad, and not many left before the end. Somehow the goal we needed seemed to be coming, and very nearly did. For a 0-0, it was good. Pity we didn't win, but playing a SPL team away from home might be no bad thing.

How can we figure that out mate, if you look at this thread there are about three different games going on.

Time for Zelalem to stand up and be counted, needs to prove something here.

We're going in to this on the back of 3 clean sheets, having only conceded 2 goals in 2016 thus far. Compare that to Killie who shipped 9 goals in January, keeping only 1 clean sheet in the process (against St. Johnstone in the previous round). You can see why Rangers fans will be feeling confident of progression in to the quarter finals.

Not expecting too many changes from MW, O'Halloran and King are both cup tied. Holt still not fit enough to play against Raith and not expected to start. Jig will be in the dug-out for Killie after Gary Locke got sacked after the 1-0 defeat to Hamilton last weekend.
 
My prediction: 3-1 Rangers. No rounds of applause for ex players until we've dumped them out please...

Tell me Im wrong about anything I've said above. If Warburton rates him so much that's up to him, but does he really? Seems to me he is never trusted to start any of our big games. He is a luxury player

That was a great game of football, which given some of the comments you'd have hought we lost.
Great team effort, some posters need a serious reality check.  We were without two key players and still won.

Thought the fans were a wee bit impatient today. Started to get on the team's back a wee tad early, after only about 20 minutes. Don't think with a young team that's too helpful. Not going to help maters when we're not playing well anyway. I think they've earned some patience from time to time. One or two other things got on my wick a wee bit too. Settle doon, Bears!
Anyway, bad performance, but found a way to win. Happy days. No successes today, apart from Billy, who was sharp when he came on even apart from the goal, Kiernan who was good, and the goalie made 3 great saves, really good.

I would be happy to see the lad Thompson get a start against Falkirk but I think Warburton will go with Ball. 
Think we tinkered  with the formation in that Hibs game mate and started with a back three,  canny really remember tbh.?

The new format certainly needs tweaking,Corky, but getting back to the football; I've played/coached/managed enough games over a 60 year period to know the object of the game and although we didn't stick the ball in the net enough to win the games mentioned, there were instances that had a massive bearing on the end result.
Hibs first of all: 3rd minute of the game: Stevenson takes out Holt in the box for a stonewall penalty and Beaton didn't give it. I will admit our defence gave away 2 stupid goals but we hit the bar/post 3-4 times and Oxley in goals played out of his skin and I think we deserved at least a point.
Livingston: Another stupid goal when we allowed Ben Gordon to come out of defence and shoot at will, the ball rebounds to Hippolite unattended and he bangs it in. We had 10 shots on goal and the only way Livingston could stop us was to kick anything in a blue jersey that moved, which they did to great effect and Salmond the referee let them away with it.
Falkirk: Willie Collum gives Falkirk a penalty after 3 minutes when Danny Wilson fouls Vaulks at least 3 yards outside the box. Danny Rogers put in a performance he's never ever going to repeat. Waghorn misses a penalty (that wasn't a penalty) and we peppered the Falkirk goal with 17 shots. Considering we played a bit of a shocker, we deserved a point from the game.
You may disagree with my opinion of these 3 games, but that's what makes football an interesting game.

Hard choice that for the manager.
Obviously we are loaned players by clubs who want to see them get action on the park. If we don't give then game time then we not be able to arrange other loans, our credibility will be gone. That is basically the business side of it.
I also think if loanees are successful this encourages other clubs to lend us better players, (unfortunately we are not quite in a position to buy the successful ones, their club will have achieved what they wanted and take them back.)
However, I think Mr Warburton has got it right so far. In the big games he has played the best, most consistent players, and not Oduwa or Zelalem.
The most important is that it looks as if we may now have a much more consistent team regardles if we play squad players or loanees, and if we can put a wee bit distance between ourselves and Hibs, I believe the youngsters will get more opportunities too. Win, win all round.
(If anyone sees a problem with this just think back a year when none of the team, squad or youngsters were performing consistently. And no one was interested in giving us loan players. )
