That is correct, it's just whether the rules have been changed to include the League Cup. There's two rounds of the League Cup in August, and the 2nd might be against SPL opposition.
I think the Ramsdens counts as 1 of the three, but before all the yes, no, maybe the League Cup definitely didn't allow it, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was now changed with the league merger.
He had to be on the board with the size of his stake. He won't be investing any actual money on the club if anyone thinks that. He's bought a large chunk of shares, some at a cheap price.
The clue was in "maybe" Celtic are obvious favourites. I think Aberdeen, Utd, Motherwell, Ross County have a real chance of the final....way better than the rest. Maybe Rangers can reach the final but it's a massive "if".
