  1. We are generally, a very fickle bunch down Ibrox way. I remember the year after the 9 in a row season, when we missed out on ten, there were fans wanting Walter gone. There was a fight in the pub afterwards, because 2 Bears disagreed over Walter. We had it so good for so long, that we just expected to win everything. I remember years ago, when I was working in Edinburgh, being on a bus, late the Friday night, before the cup final, I was listening to 2 middle aged men talking about the cup final, they were discussing the outcome, when one said to the other. " Rangers will win easy tomorrow, they're just too good for them " his buddy nodded his head in agreement. I could feel myself filling up with pride, that they were talking about MY team. The team that a decade, or so earlier had been absolute shite. It is all swings, and roundabouts in most things in life, football too. We're just going a roundabout way of getting back to the top.. ?
  2. I believe that if we can recruit a decent striker we'll start winning games. Our defence looks a lot better this season, our midfield is looking solid, it's just our attack that we're found wanting in. Maybe we should go for Moult, he bangs them in for Motherwell, and our midfield will set him up with a lot more chances to score than he gets now. If we'd got decent refereeing decisions in our favour, we might've been sitting with full points right now. We've not had the rub of the green of late, it's got to change soon. I'm for sticking with Pedro until, at the very least, Xmas. If by then we've not progressed enough, and not in the top 3 or 4, and miles behind the taigs, we could get shot of him then. I'd only be willing, to get rid, if it looked like we were not going to qualify for Europe.
  3. Because it was so fucking bad. I hope they're not drama students, they've failed if they are. ?
  4. I don't think that you're taking it seriously.
  5. You've taken it out of all context there, and I think you know that! ?
  6. I think that players should have a device fitted to their balls that, in the event that they fuck up, the fans in the stands could press a button, attached to their seat, that gives the player a small electric shock. If they miss an open goal, and enough fans press their button at the same time, say over 10,000, or 25% of home support they'd get a BIG electric shock. Not enough to kill him like, I'm not off my head. The more fans that press the button, the bigger the shock up to a certain point obviously. There would be a deterrent for, serial abusers, of pushing the button, that they're button could be disconnected. This could be introduced to live TV games. They're always looking for new ways to entertain the fans. I think that this idea could revolutionise football in this country, and beyond, as it gives feedback to the clubs on how they, the fans, feel individual players are performing. If a player was to collapse, off the ball, holding his crotch, that could be a sign to the coaching staff, that a substitution is required. PS I have sent details of the above plan to FIFA, but have yet to receive a reply. I'm sure the PC brigade will be all over this, wanting to know what trials we've performed, and all that PC bull...
  7. I am very underwhelmed by this signing. I've never heard of the guy, and City are my English team of choice. He could be anything, but I doubt he'll make much difference.
  8. I'd rather we play 3 at the back, with a 5 man midfield consisting of 2 wingbacks, & 3 tight centrally, more concerned with supporting strikers than defending, since we've got an extra man in there. I think that Tav, and Wallace are better going forward than tracking back. If we play with the three at the back, it might take some pressure off them trying to get back into defend when another attack breaks down. They're not the best fullbacks in the world, but they're not the worst either. I just think that they're being asked to do an awful lot, in attack, and defence, that they're not doing either particularly well.
  9. Hope you're better with numbers than you are with letters.??
  10. Sometimes we forget how lucky we've been to have such talent as the DeBoer brothers playing for us, as well as all the other stars that turned out for us. Maybe one day a mega rich blue nose will come along, and give us another thrilling time. ?
  11. NO SURRENDER!! That cry is dedicated to all the surrender monkeys in here of late.
  12. I want us to challenge the taigs this season. Maybe even beat them at Ibrox, with no more 5-1 defeats. Finishing 2nd, while never normally acceptable, would be an improvement on last year. Being closer to the taigs, in the league table only, is expected. Winning a trophy would be nice, but just seeing improvement each game would do for me right now. We were the victim of some shocking refereeing decisions, in the Hibs game. We were a bit unlucky in the Hearts game, getting a perfectly good goal scrubbed because of a, very dodgy, offside decision. We're not getting the breaks just now, and seeing some of our ex players scoring freely, in their new teams, doesn't help matters. PS I thought that Joe Garner would've been good in this system, and was surprised that he was one of the first to be punted.??
  13. We need to win this one. Pedro really needs to win this game. Our players need to be on their game, defeat is unacceptable. We may well get better results away from home until the team learns to handle the pressure of playing in front of a packed Ibrox. Hopefully they'll have got used to playing at Ibrox, in time for the taigs visit.??
  14. Pity he never scored yesterday. If he had, I'd agree with you.
  15. I LOVE RANGERS!! I'm hurting just now because we're still nowhere near where I want us to be. We Are The People! If you know their history? We have a history to be proud of, they bastards keep wanting to deny their history.
  16. Every season I keep hoping is his last. He must be about 100 years old now, or started commentating at a very young age. I remember him commentating on games on the ITV show The Big Match. Now that was a long time ago.
  17. A team that gets beat 1-0 off Lincoln Red Imps, a pub team from Gibraltar. Then gets beaten 7-0, away to Barcelona can NOT call themselves The Invincibles. I realise it was Barcelona they were playing, but surely The Invincibles should've got a draw at the very least? They even lost 0-2 at home to them. Then they had the chance in a lifetime to beat City, at the Etihad, when City fielded a team full of youngsters, and second, or third, choice players, as they had already qualified. They fucked that up as well. In fact The Invincibles were the Unwinnables! They never won a fucking game in the CL. I remember some of their supporters in the media saying that they might pinch 2nd place off City. They're known for their thieving, but they couldn't even pinch 3rd spot off BMG. They probably did as well as they could, but their deluded supporters thought they'd a chance of getting past the group stages. The Invincibles? They even stole that title off Arsenal, who this thread was actually about. Sorry for digressing here, I just got angrier, and angrier, the more I remembered those cunts bragging about their shitty Invincibles..???
  18. Does anyone really care about women's sports, apart from Beach Volleyball, of course??
  19. I wonder if they had to put the money up front, and paid it all in one go, as the player gets transfered, would we still see these ridiculous transfer fees? I read somewhere about a club still making payments for a player that they'd already sold on. Where does all this transfer money go? The clubs? The players? The agents? Everyone seems to get a bit of it, apart from the fans, of course. Liverpool should've given their ST holders their money back off the Suarez deal, rather than give it to Brenda to squander £ millions on shite.
  20. I'm feeling good about this game. We'll win by a few goals. This Hearts team are shite , we should beat them easy. Remember! You heard it here first! (Unless you heard it somewhere else, before reading this, then you heard it here second! Although you never heard anything, I should've put that " You read it here first" as that would've been grammatically correct. I'm not changing it now though. Have I not closed the brackets yet? Silly me)??
  21. I think that it looks good, in fact from the International Space Station, you can hardly notice the changes. We need to stop pussy footing about. Get a share issue done, get some money in, and do things properly. Fuck all this half arsed nonsense that looks cheap, and tacky. Get money in, get the place cleaned properly, then take it from there. BTW my first sentence is a lie, it doesn't look good, even from here...??
  22. Whenever we get a really good youth player coming through, he gets whisked away by some top EPL team, offering him more money now, than we could in the future. We'll only see some decent players come through, as late bloomer's. For the amount of money we've put into it, we've got a poor return. I'm not saying that we should forget all about our youth teams, more find a better way of brinigng players through the system. I think that there should be a 'Colts League' for Premiership teams, and it should be a part of our league structure. A League 3 perhaps? The Colts teams can get promoted, and relegated, the same asked any other team, but they can't enter the Premiership, or cup games where the first team is involved. There would probably be bigger crowds at these games than there are at League 1, &, 2, games now. I'd never think of going to watch a Ross Co v Forfar game, if County were relegated, and I lived in Dingwall. However I would definitely think about going, if Rangers Colts were involved. This could also help the Scottish national team with players being involved in competitive games earlier, bringing them on quicker, although I'm not all that fussed about the national team, it's a selling point to the SFA. We need to do something different. More of the same old, same old, isn't working. We have had the best chance we'll ever have of bringing young players through, the past five years, yet all we've had is Lewis McLeod, and Barrie McKay.
