    I was & got burned a bit.
I’d been to the gents just before ht & was heading back to my seat, towards the fire, as it happened.
Turned & was looking to go back to the gents to escape the crush, but last second saw a way out down the stand so took it.
Bulk of the people who died were in there (the gents), sadly.
    Lucky escape for yours truly.

    Too true mate!
I’m very impressed with the way we’re dealing with this.
People who I either didn’t know much about or think much of are really coming into their own here.
While we may not get the votes on Tuesday, by God they’ve rummled them up & it’s a start.
Let’s hope they keep the pressure on!!!

It's an excellent piece and yet I can imagine that the haters and the taig placemen will be tweeting derision and clouding the issue even more in a matter of minutes rather than hours.
But I'm pleased we have decided to be the ones picking up the tab. It will of course still probably fail. As more Clubs hate us than actually care about their own teams.
Rangers are trying to clean up and to establish a level playing field for ALL of Scottish football just watch the amount of arseholes who prefer to stick with the status quo.

May not be as explosive as some would like.
But plenty to work on & certainly enough to warrant further investigation.
For those who are underwhelmed, how would you feel if we’d just sat on our hands, while knowing what was going on?
We’d have just been falling into line with all the others who are, rightly, being scorned on here.
I’ve no idea how this will play out, but I’m quite happy that the club has decided to call this out, along with the way they’ve handled it so far.
The blue touch paper has been lit, get the popcorn out......

Hated them since The Battle of Old Trafford, in 1974/75 season, when we played them in a friendly.
their support was full of Irish tri colours. There was fighting before, during, and after the game, it was madness. It was my first game following Rangers out of Scotland. It was a friendly too, but there was nothing friendly about their fans, they were animals, and the cops just kept batton  charging our support when it was them lot that started it all.
I met a couple of City fans, who were at the game, and they said that it was the Utd fans from outside Manchester that caused all the trouble, like the Cockney Reds.  They also have a strong Irish following who were there in numbers that day.

...... hold on a minute ....Oh!  the linesman has flagged ..... and the spot kick is to be retaken ...... from the six yard line .... apparently The Rangers keeper handled the ball in the box as it was goal bound ......  and Clancy nets again ...... now this is what I call soccer integrity .... and it screams the SFA/SPFL motto loud and clear ....... " Two "Separate"  Bodies Joined Together For The Benefit Of One" .....  just like a marriage ...... now you won't get fairer than that in Scotland ..... no matter how hard you scream and shout .....

The club don't have any other choice other than attempting to get other clubs on side.
The 'fuck them' attitude is all well and good but it gets us absolutely nowhere.
We need other clubs backing us up otherwise it can be easily written off as big bad Rangers moaning again.

The players should secure the non playing staff wages.
Some of our lesser paid people will be on just over minimum wage. Theyll need every penny

All well and good but, given the success of the “separate entity” red herring/misdirection, you just know that the next thing will be to play on the distinction between individuals and the club.
”what they did as individuals is up to them, not the club’s fault” etc, etc
See it coming a mile away.
They’ve been very well advised so far and their tactics have been spot on. To have so far avoided a full, public inquiry after all the atrocities committed by the “celtic family” is nothing short of incredible.
If I could do just one thing in relation to this it would be to make the non-reporting of child abuse a criminal offence.
There are so many at that cesspit (including at least six managers) who knew what was going on, it is almost hard to imagine that anyone DIDN'T know where the screams were coming from.
Give them an amnesty date, say 31 March, and, if you reveal what you know, there will be no charges for non-disclosure. If it emerges after that date that an individual DID know and did not report, they would be prosecuted.
Soon weed out the enablers and facilitators.
    Sadly unlikely to happen.
