  1. I think he is a great player. Surprised not to have heard much about where he is going when he said he is leaving Hearts. We are well covered in that position though with Hemdani, Thomson and Ferguson. Think he will be a great signing for someone though, esp. for free!
  2. I think Shota was a talented player, always worked hard. I agree he would have scored more goals if played up front all the time, instead of wide left. I think this was due to us not having a proper, and good quality left sided player at the time, That said, I don't think we have had a good naturally wide left player for quite some time. He is a very different style of player to Boyd though. Far better is some ways, far worse in others.
  3. I think Smith is a better left back in a lot of ways. Murray probably a better player. Feel sorry for him because he has been nothing but a fill-in, out of position guy ever since he signed. Let's not forget he was Hibs captain in central midfield. He was pretty poor tonight, but who wasn't?
  4. Totally agree. Sad reality is I think we are really some way off the standard of Celtic. Hopefully a few new signings and some consistent team selection next year will improve things.
  5. The tie is not over, I agree. And yes we could have played great and lost or got the same 1 - 1. Really dissapointing thing is how we lost. Never pressed the ball, never played high tempo, never looked up for it, no enthusiasm. Made an average looking side look good, when really we were just awful. Almost everyone was a disaster tonight. Chris Burke just looks totally lost at times. Ugo was a nightmare. Ladbrokes will be happy again, have my donation. (mad)
  6. With BF's passing, I see no reason why he can't play on for 3 - 5 years yet. Lots more European games to come I hope.
  7. First thing I said when I saw him last night with his shirt off. Never knew they had a laugh at him though (harhar) There is no defence for it, just shows he is poorly conditioned, not a professional. Celtic would be better without him IMO.
  8. Take it your a Tim then? This is a Rangers board bud....jog on... If by Tim you mean Celtic fan, no. Rangers man all my life, always will be.
  9. Milan are a better side and had far more chances to score. I am surprised no-one else has said it yet, have to say I wanted Cetlic to win. Would rather see another Scottish side go through and increase the reputation of our league than see them beaten. Same goes for all other Scottish teams in europe. I was supporting them last night. Yes we are still in Europe after they are out but I hardly think that is much to brag about. We play after them for a start, and we are in a tournament that is far easier, and cerainly does not have teams of AC Milan's quality.
  10. As I said, the linked report in the initial post on this thread SDM made mention only on his opinion of the business implications on Scottish independance. He did not say that Rangers FC were pro or anti union. Personally, I didn't join a FOOTBALL forum to talk about such matters. Pity everyone can't just talk about the game instead of all this nonsense.
  11. I think in the linked BBC report SDM was commenting on the benefits, or lack thereof, from a purely economical point of view regarding Scottish independance. I fail to see what your poem has to do with this topic. Or for that matter what this topic has to do with Rangers FC.
  12. Personally: -------------Klos------------ Hutton--Ugo--Weir--Murray ----Hemdani---Thomson---- Burke----Ferguson----Novo -------------Boyd------------- I don't think Boyd is too isolated as long as Burke and Novo are effective last third, also with Ferguson now playing so advanced as per Hapoel game, I think that could work again. Anyway, can anyone tell me if the game is being shown on TV LIVE anywhere??? I just assumed BBC would show it, but I have checked their website, it appears they are not, same for Sky, STV, Setanta etc!!
  13. Getting back to the initial question, yes I think it was definitely appropriate that you highlighted what the guy was saying, and yes I think he should definitely be banned from the stadium. Moronic singing like that should not be accepted at all. That is exactly what puts me off going to games. Don't want to surround myself with people like him. Setanta and Rangers TV instead.
  14. Some good pics there. Although have I missed something here? Rangers are based in Glasgow. Glasgow is clearly based here in the good old UK. They are quite obviously therefore a British club. Why does everyone keep saying this? Stating the obvious is it not? Why doesn't every other one of the hundreds of clubs also based here in the UK feel the need to keep harping on about the fact they are a UK club too?
  15. I like him more the more I see him. Very consistent performer, very rarely wastes a pass or is caught in possession. He does show real composure and good solid passing, if not spectacular. Certainly in the team on merit I would say, hope he continues this way.
