WTF just came on to see whats been said for a wee laugh and another thread derailed with @thedude at the centre of it.
Went back a couple of pages and the guys getting grief.  What for can't be fucked going back another 10 pages or so, or who's right or wrong but the poor cunt does get it both barrels at times.
Now don't get me wrong, I've had one or two disagreements with old Jeff, but if this was me I'd just call it a day
ye he can be a troll at times (and he knows it) but other posters have a serious bee in their bonnet and will disagree with whatever he says just for the sake of it.
So what am I trying to say here - we're possibly 2 days away from being back in our rightful place, so lets all take a step back and fckn bask in the glory of it and just get along with each other.

So what do you want the dude to do? Just not post his opinion? Ive got news for you buddy its a public forum were different views are posted that you may not agree with, it really isn't that deep you need to follow a guy calling him out at every corner when it has absolutely zero bearing on your life. 

I'm all for people getting a 2nd chance, the argument earlier was about Martindale and how he deserves a 2nd chance. Aye fair enough I see that point, he made mistakes a long long time ago, done his time & now wants to make a life for himself, that's fair enough.
This was 10 days ago, 5 players took it upon themselves to stick 2 fingers up to the club & do something the entire country is being told not to do. They knew exactly what they were doing & knew the ramifications if they got caught (and if they didn't). They knew them turning up at training on the Monday would've meant we lose probably the entire squad for 10 days & didn't give it a 2nd thought.
Not saying ban them from football, give them the jail and ruin their life's however the idea that they just saunter back into training/the squad after 10 days & a clearly rehearsed apology is bad news. Move them on and let them have a career elsewhere is punishment enough for me, you've fucked your chance here now good luck trying at another club.

You will need to have a 16 pack of Andrex handy to wipe the shit from your eyes there's that much of it.

All that potential is tempered by the players' willingness to put the work in to fulfil it. If they can't be trusted to act responsibly while on the brink of arguably the most important season in the club's history in decades, it puts a big, big question mark over that potential.
They can have all the ability in the world but, and I don't think I'm speaking out of turn here, Gerrard has made it perfectly clear that ability isnt the be-all-and-end-all. Youve got to have the mentality and personality to actually get there. If after seeing what happened to Jones/Edmundson didn't serve as a warning to the players what not to do, then they are seriously lacking in that respect
