Won't happen now with disabled areas going at the back of the stands

The disabled areas wouldn't be impacted if the standing section rails begin in front of the viewing platform row. Someone standing in front of the elevated platform doesn't block the line of site of the person sitting in the wheelchair on the platform.

You could easily have standing at the front, wheelchair viewing platform directly behind and then the 3 rows of ambulant seating at the very back for the elderly or those with mobility problems. Would actually divide the stand(s) up in a very orderly way.

Agreed. He's nowhere near as good as Goldson or a fit Helander. I suspect that Davies will be better as well. Also is Souttar really that much better than King based on what we've seen? I'd argue not.

His problem is that he was signed when the likelihood was that Goldson was leaving. He's not going to play ahead of Goldson and he obviously can't cope with playing on the left side.

Maybe if we do start to play a back 3 more there's a place for him in the team but with a back 4 I don't see him playing all that much.

With Davies coming in, I feel he is effectively Balogun's replacement, albeit younger and he helps us fulfil our home grown player quota. A decent defender who is comfortable playing out from the back and handy to have as a backup, especially as we will almost certainly need to rotate due to injury and fatigue. Fine for the league but his ability and (lack of) pace isn't at the level required for playing against top European opposition.

How anyone can say we have been "unlucky" with injuries! GVB has made an absolute arse of it.

Got rid of Defoe when he was more than capable to step in for cup games and coming on at 60mins or even starting the odd League game here and there.

Then he plays Morelos 90mins every single game n fucks him, that eaves himwith an injury prone striker that he seemed to have zero trust in but now relys on him game after game. It was inevitable that this would happen.

Never thought I would want rid of a manager soo much that got us to a semi final in Europe.

This season woulda been soo much better if he had used his squad properly.

I largely agree but Defoe admitted himself that he'd pretty much chucked it this season and the fact he's now retired adds weight to that.

    Edinburgh - Amsterdam - Berlin

    Wednesday to Saturday

train to Leipzig - 2 nites Leipzig then 1 night in Berlin on the way back. Think Union Berlin are playing at home on the Friday so may take in that game.

no tickets yet but going to give their website a go now.

    🔴🔵

Union tickets are almost impossible to get these days if you aren't a member. Even then, they now have about 37k members and the stadium only holds 22k, so members aren't even guaranteed a ticket.

Are they selling home end to Scottish addresses no bother?

They specifically state that you can't wear away clothing in sections B & D, so I assume there shouldn't be any problem if you get tickets elsewhere.

The way things are going in Germany it could probably be worse !

Cases are still high and things could easily change again but the curve has been flattened over the past week or two in Germany and the cases are now going down again. Despite what the British press to try to make out, the UK case rate has been significantly higher than Germany's for the majority of time during this whole shit show as well. The recent case explosion in Germany has also predominately been in former East German states and Bavaria, with the state Dortmund is in being in much better shape.

  7. Have emails to those successful in the ballot gone out already? If not, does anyone have any idea when they will be?

Brøndby started selling tickets to home fans just over a week ago but you have to have a Danish or Finnish mobile number to use the payment platform on the ticket site.

  8. I'm pretty sure we're likely to get something like this in the near future. This was the short term option as part of the feasibility study done a year ago.

A few more rows down into the pitch again and a smaller section of seats hanging off the front of the existing corner structures. The back row of the Sandy Jardine is already happening with the new Argyle suite.

I'd hope/imagine the finished product would also have some smaller, more modern screens to fill the gaps in the corners compared to this basic render.

Where is this getting done because no parts of the seating looks like it is being renewed.

Except for the single seats here and there that are getting replaced as they break.

Main stand front and rear were replaced for the start of last season all the way up to my seat at MFO/MRS where it abruptly stopped!

  10. Worth pointing out that this was for 2017/18 and not the season just gone. Hopefully our numbers for then will look much better given the extra ticket revenue, European run and higher placed finished.

The filth failing to qualify for the Champions League should also make a big difference to their numbers. Will be interesting reading.

I’d give the UB the corner where away fans go, but encroach into the Broomloan too. Very visible for the cameras too.

Then I’d put away fans where UB currently are. This means we only need segregation on one side, give away support coloumns of seats depending on the size of their support and theyre also out the road of the cameras.

That's pretty much what happened prior to the corners being filled in and for the first season or two after they were filled in. The turnstiles for BF1, BF2, BF3 etc. are all separate, so that helps aid segregation.

Fans always love tenacity over skill for some reason. He was definitely good yesterday and shows spurts of skill but overall game in game out he is a 6 out of 10 for me. Ejaria does't cover the ground Daniel does but he is far more gifted. It all depends on your perspective of a footballer I guess.

I'll take a team filled with the likes of Daniel Candeias, Sasa Papac and Nach Novo over Josh Windass, Niko Krancjar and Barrie McKay any day of the week.

serious question (and tin hat on)...

why the need to cover your face?

I'd imagine to stop them from being recognised and becoming victims of prejudiced employers, or becoming a target for those willing to do them harm (either online or offline), or being falsely accused if something were to happen in or around the march and they were identified as being present.

My Dad called me after the game last night and asked what the atmosphere was like.

He reckons his top atmospheres were Dortmund and Zaragoza in the 60s, the Bayern Semi in 72, and then Parma in 99.

The atmosphere and noise againt Man U in 2003 pre-match until Neville scored on 5mins is something I'll never forget. That goal was a real kick in the balls though.

There was some cracking euro nights in the late 90's and early 00's.

  15. Kent tries hard but has offered little so far.

I think Ejaria is one of the most naturally gifted players in the squad with the ball at his feet and I really don't get some of the criticism he's getting. Sure, he makes the odd loose pass or tries too much at times but there's more moments where he's playing neat triangles, holding the ball up really well with his strength and hight or playing fast balls through. He's young and still developing but has great potential.

  16. I thought Ejaria had a very good game last night. His decision making can sometimes let him down and he definitely has a tendency to try to do too much at times but he must be a nightmare to play against. He's big, strong and very good with the ball at his feet. He's still young and developing but he has potential to be a great player, just needs the right coaching
