hammer time replied to crmpicco's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
First decent run in Europe for about 5 years that season Shelbourne, PAOK Salonika, Beitar Jerusalem, Bayer Leverkusen and Parma if I remember correctly -
according to my dad he had no pace, was one footed, couldn't tackle but still the greatest Rangers player he ever saw
-
Given the opportunity to try and make amends in some way after being given a second chance and you can’t even be bothered to put in an effort in training sums him up perfectly, absolute waster of a boy
-
Unlucky not to beat them the season before, how Durie missed right in front of goal with minutes to go after Amato did a pirouette to get to the byline I’ll never now and all going so well over there until Porrini got sent off and Amo handballed it to give a pen away if I recall correctly

Used to work with at a garage with a salesman who worked in the ticketing office at the piggery when he was about to be unveiled as their new signing, even years later when he was talking about him signing at Ibrox he was fuming and said there was folks greeting when news came through of the press conference with him and Souness

Been to 5 in Germany, 1860 Munich when they were still at the Allianz arena freezing cold and only about 18,000 of a crowd, Eintracht Frankfurt, Fortuna Düsseldorf, Cologne and Monchengladbach all decent and fairly modern grounds though -
What a wonderful Sunday read about our greatest ever player.

A generation before my time but i was lucky enough to be at a sportsman’s dinner at the park hotel in Falkirk a couple of months before he died, everybody there to a man regardless of team they supported gave him a standing ovation when he finished -
Press Conference : McAllister and Halliday

He would try to be different but it’s above his pay grade 👍 -
Sit in the SJ lower underneath the clock on the halfway line and you could see the metal railings underneath it vibrating when it was in full bounce
-
Judging by the crowd in the background they must have been wearing the sheep’s strip from yesterday
-
Didn't do too bad with a winger from Clydebank many years ago either
-
Fair comment can’t argue with that just meant he was a squad player at best, not an international player or someone who played down south or abroad from what I remember so thought it was a strange choice for an interview
-
Not watched it and no offence to BM but a surely scrapping the bottom of the barrel with this one as he didn’t exactly have a standout career, only remember him being at us for about 3 or 4 years and doing nothing much of note
-
must be honest whilst I was expecting the usual negative story relating to Rangers in the week long build up to a derby match, I didn't expect it to be about that useless waste of space

hammer time replied to Bears r us's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Looking grand with the scarf round his neck lapping up the attention -
The majority of them have been rotten since the winter break
-
Nice wee mention from the commentator about there being some Bears amongst the away support then in slams the fourth goal
-
Is it correct he was never booked in his career ? RIP to a true Rangers legend
-
That must be in the different rule book in which our matches are involved

What’s this sporting integrity you speak of ?, Scottish football knows nothing of such things
