The board really are under enormous pressure . The financial slate is wiped clean, in my opinion, as they picked the last manager. The next manager is a dud and blows money or is not backed due to financing the last manager then it all comes back to the organ grinders. Their monkeys can say what they want in an attempt to deflect.
Saying that I hope they get it right and we can get back to the days when we didnt know or care who was a board member.

Dont agree that the DoF should pick the manager at all, they need to be able to work together but DoF is not head coach's boss. Not IMO anyway.
Ideally they would be involved in the recruitment process I agree, but its not 'his' manager ffs.

Dont see what the big issue is, we went after a extremely well though of candidate for our DOF, he gave it some thought and decided against it. Its the right decision for him and us.

Yep fairytale stuff on paper and tits on here are listing teams who have had success with it like Southampton and European clubs  . These clubs actually have money to buy quality players so their structure doesn't really matter too much at the end of the day. This board is skint. 
What we need is a proven no nonsense manager who is a winner along with a scouting network who know the more obscure European markets. I'm genuinely starting to think someone like Tommy Wright who seems a bit more old fashioned with his approach yet still gets results on a small budget and knows the league inside out might not be the worst shout after all.
DoF pish is a risk we can't afford to take IMO and we could end up in this same situation in a year or 2 if it goes tits up.
