  1. Could have easily been 3 there. We're being pushed back too easily and sitting too deep. Need to create a threat and give them something to think about.
  2. Falling to pieces here. Need calm heads to salvage something.
  3. Chelsea, Everton and Leeds today to help the bookies bank balance improve.
  4. I don't disagree with you in that we have far bigger issues than Kenny and more could do with his ethos but I think he's trying too hard to make up for the inevitable decline due to age catching up with him and he would be more effective carrying out the role he's asked to do to the best of his remaining ability. His habit of mouthing off at his team mates at every opportunity won't be doing their fragile confidence any good either.
  5. I'm not sure if you're Irvine Welsh on the wind up but maybe pause a bit and read what is being written. In my opinion, he would be best utilised as a central striker. Putting him on the wing is in itself, a tactical mistake as he cannot play effectively there. However, having been asked to play in that position, he hasn't got the discipline to stay there and runs needlessly all over the pitch, giving the impression he is trying more than any other player but is hampering the team formation and reducing the opportunities of moving the ball wide in doing so. In a thread titled Kenny Miller again, guess who people are going to give there opinions on.
  6. He's effective as a striker, not a left midfielder. In fact he is poor in that position as he doesn't have the natural ability or speed required. Even so, he still runs up and down after the ball like a 10 year old schoolboy, out of position and pointing and moaning all the while. He was good, he's past his best now.
  7. Spends too much time running about out of position for me. Should be in and around the box like all natural, predatory finishers. He's not going to score running around in midfield or picking the ball up in defence and often just leads to an imbalance and a loss of shape. No argument about his past achievements but he seems to lack tactical discipline on the field now and it's proving detrimental.
  8. I agree to an extent and I don't think we'll progress as much as we should under his management but realistically he won't be sacked and he'll be here for the foreseeable future. His contract is signed and will have to be bought out and that isn't going to happen. we have to hope that the speculation over the other potential signings comes to fruition and we have a team with enough personal pride and inherent ability to produce a credible challenge. Pride and ability are two traits that have been lacking in recent years.
  9. Not convinced it was the right appointment but it's too early to sack him. Players have still to leave and others arrive. Once the team is settled and we see how he plays them, judgements can legitimately be made.
  10. That's true but I prefer not to see a fight ending due to an eye swelling obscuring visibility. Knockdown, knockout or points is fair enough but for damage caused by a head clash or one punch to have such an impact just diminishes it for me a little.
  11. Sad way to end. Probably couldn't see anything coming from his left side. Brave fighter to go as far as he did. Well done to Spence. Did what he needed to after being under pressure to the half way point.
  12. A fighter's instinct and heart on show there! Would have been the end of many a fighter.
  13. Fight all square for me now. Spence in the ascendency and has it to lose by the look of it.
  14. Think there's been 3 10/10 rounds due to Spence's aggression and volume of punches and he definitely won the third. Brook's eyes and focus suggest that he can absorb it though and bide his time a bit more than Spence.
  15. Probably got Brook a point ahead just now. Landing cleaner, more controlled punches.
  16. Tight! Both need to keep focus and concentration. One slip could end it.
  17. Spence upping the pace and pressure now.
  18. I'd be trying to tie him down too. He'll only get better with more talented and spacially aware players around him. His transfer value will increase should any English clubs come knocking in the next couple of years. As long as his agent isn't trying to hold the club to ransom, he should be the first to get an extended contract.
  19. Well down by Wes there. Far too much space and time.
  20. Good chance there. Unlucky but keeper might have had it covered if it was on target.
  21. Six points in the last two games and wouldn't have been too surprised if we hadn't got any! Quite a task for PC to turn this round for next season.
