  1. I remember, following the away leg (bearing in mind his age and restricted appearances through injury) he fronted the televised post game press interview at the side of the pitch. A truly terrible night and result but the lad showed character and strength to stand up and do this when it should have been the responsibility of a senior player if not the captain. He is a talented lad who I believe (should he now remain serious injury free) will progress in to a highly thought of good player be that with us or if/ when he moves on. Genuinely hope he makes this progression by coming back to Rangers...
  2. The team look more balanced as a unit (easy on the eye) and pose a real credible threat to any opposition atm however there is no doubt should/ if/ when Morelos leaves, the squad will be significantly weaker. Hopefully SG and MA can come up with a credible replacement when this need calls...
  3. This, their form since Lennon took over has been bang average (even before then), not convincing until Aberdeen went down to 10 men then that game was only going one way. Each performance imo is distancing him from the managers job, which he and their board want (a cheap option). There is no plan so drop points till Ibrox but long may it continue...
  4. Still sticks in the throat but as soon as the consequences of the outcome of that game became apparent we all knew what was going to happen...
  5. Looks like he booked Ball (1st card) as an appeasement as he had just booked Forest for diving (2nd was no doubt a yellow). Again, 1st card was, in my opinion in anticipation of the negative MSM and social abuse coming his way should Aberdeen progress...
  6. Well articulated and couldn’t agree more. Of course no trophies this year (or any year) is never good enough for any Rangers team/ manager but given the starting position of SG and the club as a whole when he took the reins it’s better than it was. One of the main things he appeared to take a grip of early doors, which I admired, was overall club ‘standards’ which under previous incumbents (I won’t go in to detail) had sadly slipped. I fully expect him to kick on next season and deliver silverware...
  7. Think there a number of important factors in relation to this, firstly a large section of their following pro actively go out of their way to look for any reason to have a go at Rangers, their ‘hatred’ (don’t use this term loosely) is ingrained in to their psyche to the point of being unhealthy. Secondly, there is far more information/ knowledge and comment opportunity available via social media that was unavailable at the time of their tax ‘evasion’. Thirdly and probably more importantly the vast majority of our support have no love of anything celtic but they are decent working people who love their own team more than constantly obsessing and raking over the dealings of another...
  8. Think this move has the the intention of trying to establish a ‘self policing’ mantra within this section of the ground. As above, if you are being deprived of watching your team from your ‘ST’ or preferred location because of a few idiots I’m sure the next time it happens some summary justice may take place on any behaviour likely to closing the section down again...
  9. He’s a player with drive, decent pace and an eye for goal, he will also take a man on. Whether he is good enough to improve ourselves is another matter but I do believe he will be undoubtedly become more effective with better players around him...
  10. Robmc1

    Davis

Can’t disagree with that, though the formation suited him and the match fitness he is gaining is showing. A good overall performance without anything spectacular...
  11. Tbf, the offside decision aside, I thought the officiating today was fine... (so far)
  12. I (by accident) ended up in the company of BF some time ago who admittedly was/ is one of my favourite all time Rangers players. Regardless of anything since, the guy was a combative leader on the park and a genuine class act who we could do with now if truth be told. Frustrating thing is, out of the public eye he says all of the things you would expect on all things Rangers and really comes across as a genuine Rangers man which of course he is. Got me thinking that our ex players (in my opinion) do tend to keep their heads down atm due to the fear of ridicule and vilification from MSM. I now think that the sinister way the narrative is heading (as mentioned by yourself) this is the time ex players do need to step up and highlight the blaring inconsistencies in the reporting standards and overall portrayal of the club and fan base as a whole...
  13. Spot on, however I have no qualms whatsoever that SG is more rthan capable of holding his own in any tit for tat verbal exchange with the constant ‘victim’ that is Neil Lennon. TBF this will take care of itself as soon as we have a team on the park capable of taking this league...
  14. I took it from the way it’s was being reported SG spoke to the ref post match, hopefully eluding to the injustice of AH being booked and Brown not given a second yellow. Either way if that’s what he said he wasn’t wrong...
