This comes up every so often. It makes no sense (in my opinion) to starve the club of money. No ordinary fan out there can possibly know better than the people running the club what the best way forward is re: the Manager. We don't know enough to start campaigns to damage the club we love.

What could you buy for 5p in 1971 & 1972 ?

I think quite a few of us at the game bought this poster. Same as the one in the Trophy room but that one is in better condition and signed. -

and photos of the only scarf that was on sale in Barcelona at the game as far as I'm aware:- (I will see what other Barcelona memories are in this particular box before I put it away) -

Here are the team sheets as requested plus the Rangers stats from one of them for interest. (the site has turned the stats photo upside down ? ) -

I will need to dig them out again. I photographed them when I had them out the box. It may be a week or two before I get in the 'loft'. They are not in my pile of normal programs. -

I still have the Matador Poster. They have one in our trophy room. That one is in better condition than mine but exactly the same. There was one very poor quality scarf on sale outside the stadium. I still have that and the blow up player (who still blows up ok) -

Anyone a lawyer on here pref corporate?
IanFerguson2013 replied to thehost's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
can the person who wrote this explain how, in what way I offended him/her? Lawyers expect to be paid and very few will give free advice to a stranger. They live for chargeable hours. As to my mention of the septic purchase, it happened, I did ignore Fergus, he did marry Elspeth. So what's your boggle ?? -

IanFerguson2013 replied to thehost's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Most Corporate lawyers will want paid. Unless you actually know someone it might be hard to get free advice. (I worked for corporate law firms for a very long time). ps: During my time in a Glasgow law firm Fergus McCann was buying the 'Tic and marrying one of our lawyers (Elspeth). I had the pleasure of ignoring him once but others came running to take his bunnet & get him a cuppa. -
The first goal was real Roy of the Rovers stuff. Absolutely magic. As for the second goal , Tut Tut, a defender that far up the park ? not giving the opposition enough respect is possibly what the manager might be saying :)

If we look back over past seasons we can see many a time when large (say 12) points gaps have been pulled back by one team over the other. It's daft to say we cannot possibly win the league. While I'm not expecting to win we might see the tic's wobble turn in to a crash & burn. Let's just have the same belief the team does & wait & see.

we have overcome 9 points and more in previous seasons. It's not likely but it could happen this year. Get Marvin Andrews to bring out a new T-Shirt.

No thanks, I thought he was True Blue but he went off chasing a buck just like the others. No point trying to imagine how our journey would have been different if a few good players had stayed. He has made plenty of money down south. If he wants back to Scotland then he can do it without the blue pound.

Club1872 & UnionBear Safe Standing Survey
IanFerguson2013 replied to Ace's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I have mostly fond memories of standing on the terracing at Ibrox and other grounds. (there were quite a few grounds where the view was not up to much) I fully support standing. The only thing that made the original terracing as some grounds unsafe was where the number of rows of fans behind a barrier was too great causing dangerous crush at the front when there was an exciting piece of play. -
Great video, nice to see Ian Ferguson (my namesake) and the 5-1 victory brought back super memories. It does remind us how good a team we had & hope to have again.

Aberdeen Chairman calls for apology?
IanFerguson2013 replied to scottyscott1963's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Can the Aberdeen chairman board and their little group of supporters apologise for voting us out the league !! Once they do that we can consider whether our current board's statement was in any way circumspect. -
I guess there are lots of people who would like the club to be bought by a far eastern / near eastern consortium who will pump money in, rename the stadium and get us some quick success. Most of us are not really qualified to judge the board. All we see is whether money gets spent on players and what they say in statements issued. We are actually a long way through the journey back from the edge. We are not there yet but we are well n the way.

Honest mistakes or something more sinister?
IanFerguson2013 replied to Virtuoso's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I expect that most referees who are biased tell themselves that they are being fair to all sides and don't consciously go out to help or hinder a particular team but it's likely that their inner demons twist their arm from time to time. -
Nice scarf, i have a couple of old ones (being old myself) including the very rare but not great quality Cup Winners Cup Final scarf that was sold in Barcelona on the day

Rangers players to show support to Josh Windass on Saturday
IanFerguson2013 replied to Lloyd's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I have no idea what this is about and Google is not helping. Watched a video of him making a gesture which I don't know to be offensive (sheltered life)
