Hit the nail on the head emerson! Just out of interest, do you feel they are no longer fit to represent Rangers because of the V signs or because of the quality of their play? Say for example Gazza had done this as a Rangers player while on England duty, ie would this act be forgivable if they were top class players?

I'm not excusing them, the 1st sentence in my OP was - I agree that the the 2 boys have embarrassed themselves and the club. I guess it boils down to how serious you think flicking a peter kay style V is. If we were to rate how big an offense this was on a scale of 1-10 i think we would have enough diferent opinions on here to hit every number.

So the club demand standards of conduct, go on to publicly punish the miscreants, immediately diminishing their value and status as a consequence and you think that this might help the club sell them? Good point, it will adversly affect the sell on value. It will however make them easier to sell in terms of keeping fans on board and attracting bids as they will be seen to be 'unsettled'.

I agree that the the 2 boys have embarrassed themselves and the club. But it was a childish immature jesture they made not, imho, a vile enough act to warrant todays circus. It has me wondering if the club has maybe taken the opportunity to push 2 higher earners towards the exit? There is an arguement over whether the 2, particularly barry perform well enough to justify the wage and whether we may actually benefit from their absense, but has the club seized the chance to milk the situation to save money? Only a thought, and one which is negated if you dont feel there has been an over-reaction, but i'd still be interested in gettin other opinions on this.
