  1. Awful news. Hope the family are coping OK. RIP Brother. LOL 253
  2. Adam had a bad game (OK a terrible one) but I think he's capable of bouncing back. He's not a bad player and had a good season last season. I think it's mostly down to confidence at the moment, and fans screaming at him doesn't help. There's no doubt that the big man is trying his hardest so I can't see what shouting at him from the stands is going to achieve.
  3. McGregor - Greegsy did very well I thought, looked solid and sharp. Couldn't fault him to be honest, although I still think we should be looking at a higher standard of goalkeeper for the future. It's good that he has Roy Carroll breathing down his neck desperate for the No1 jersey. Hutton - Seems to have a bit of an attitude problem, why does he feel the need to constantly answer back to referees? Captain Barry Ferguson should clamp down on this and Walter/Ally too. Nip it in the bud, as it could cause him major problems in the coming season. Good player though and has the potential to be a star. Cuellar - Maybe the best of the new signings, did have a reckless challenge last night but I think he is a quality player. Seems very sure of himself and has great positioning. Weir - Did well to score! and played well overall. Broadfoot - Solid and sharp with a winning mentality. Barry - Thought he played well. Passing was slack at times but certainly was no disgrace. Papac - Thought he looked good, although I see he's been under a bit of critisism today. Looks good when running up the wing although I feel he could go further at times rather than squaring the ball across. Hemdani - Was alright. Seems easily shoved off the ball. Lee McCulloch - Didn't agree with his signing but am willing to admit that I was completely wrong. He is playing out of his skin and is a real workhorse. A real Rangers man who is willing to stick right in and won't shirk from challenges. Showed last night that he is willing and comfortable with shooting from unusual places on the field which is a great thing IMO. Adam - Pretty poor. Thought the fans got on his back too much which won't help his confidence. His passing and crosses were sh1t, however I'm sure he didn't mean them to be, so whats the point in getting on his back?! You could tell he was trying. He is not a bad player and scored goals last season so lets not give up on Charlie. Boyd - Felt for him after missing the sitter. Was unlucky when he hit the post early doors and also when he managed to deflect a Charlie Adam shot? towards goal. I'm not jumping on the anti-Boyd bandwagon as I simply do NOT think he is lazy. He tries his best and if he was the type of player who constantly chased after defenders he wouldn't be in the right place at the right time (as he so often is) to score vital goals. Novo - Novo on the other hand is the type to chase constantly. Thought he played OK, but is lacking the skill and ability to ever become a first team regular. Darcheville - Thought he had an excellent game, and for such a big guy has a great touch and good pace! He will score goals this season. Found it hilarious when he was running about as if he'd scored! The big man also managed to keep the head so I think Walter has had a word with him about his temper. He isn't the nutter that the papers try to make out. Sebo - Didn't really have the time to show what he could do. Still think he'll do well this season. All in all I think that the critisism the Gers have suffered about last night has largely been unfair. The team are still gelling and we will beat that mob away from home as well. There was too much fouling however the hunger shown is second to none. We were nowhere near as bad as folk are making out, but what do you expect from the enemies of Rangers?
  4. Good post Wicker Man, have to say that I'm very optimistic about the coming season. Whittaker will strengthen our team also if we get him. Things are looking up! Sad thing is I fear we will do shite in Europe
  5. Don't see why Ally and Jardine are saying things like this. The fans have basically towed the line and have given up the billy boys and FTP songs.
  6. I've been told there's a place where Rangers and Chelsea fans will both be meeting up on Saturday for a bit of banter. Anyone know where it is? Wouldny mind poppin along!
  7. The chants are ridiculous. If people are genuinely chanting his name to try and give him a boost then I can't argue, however it's not what I'd do. What really angers me are the large amount who do it sarcastically. I hope Sebo takes the chants as a positive thing and not as if it's the fans calling him pish. I think he'll do a good job this season.
  8. Too many women spoils the atmosphere.
  9. Yes, lets persevere with him for a few reasons.... 1. You don't turn a bad player overnight 2. He hasn't had a big run 3. We paid a large transfer fee for him. 4. He is a worker and a trier, you can tell his attitude is good. 5. He is the type of player we need in my opinion! 6. Giving up on him would please the Celtic fans. If we kept playing him and he becomes good and rips them apart, they'd hate that.
  10. Being protestant makes us a special club! Taking that away would ruin the very soul of the club and make us just like all the others.
  11. Andrews would probably point out to the christian gay that by leading a homosexual lifestyle he is going against the word of his own faith. I like to think that he'd tell the man that there is time yet for him to be saved and to give up such a sinful lifestyle. Doubt he'd attack him or anything FFS! As for the main problem, Speirs is a complete hypocrite. Any Rangers supporter who gives this reptile the time of day needs their head looked at. A more vile creature I have never seen! In my opinion we're a protestant club which in no way, shape or form means excluding others of other religions. People like "The Lad" who was posting earlier on this thread are completely welcome at Ibrox to me.
  12. The Siege of Derry is a truly fantastic story, I can't begin to imagine the suffering that went on inside those walls, people eating rats to survive, people starving to death and yet they would not surrender. Then sweet sweet William came to the rescue, absolutely fantastic and would make a tremendous fairy-tale if it wasn't so true! I certainly see our club being attacked today, although not with cannonballs! Our fans are under constant attack and who knows, maybe Gordon Smith will be our William in that we won't be completely picked on when the rules come into force about punishments for singing certain stuff. No Surrender
  13. Good to see this. Met Smith once and he seemed very down to earth! Just the kind of guy we need.
  14. Some of the fans thought that because we had nothing to play for in the league that today's performance didn't really matter. Makes us look like a joke club. We did back the team well today though and they have no excuses for that piss poor performance.
  15. I can't see what Smith has done wrong, but it won't stop some people having a go...
