They're basically using a different set of rules every time depending on what outcome they want.

No Rangers made a statement about the compliance officer and the appeals process and this decision is a message to Rangers to fuck off.

My opinion for what it's worth is that the ones who are most offended by sectarianism(especially anti- Catholic) is middle class Protestants,professionals like teachers who ironically are barred from taking a senior role at 50% of schools because they are not Catholic absolutely despise Rangers,the Orange Order and can't wait to express their horror at working class Protestants and their unacceptable behaviour.

Maybe over stated my case about some Rangers supporters still being starry eyed about Gerrard in terms of he can do no wrong, fair enough.

I think Gerrard will get more time to get it right partly because he's improved us and to be honest a lot of our support are still starry eyed about Gerrard and therefore he can do no wrong.

I must admit for the last couple of seasons I've been bemoaning the lack of a leader on the park but now I genuinely put it down to a collective failure of the players to handle playing for Rangers and the pressure that brings.

Cup's a funny one because we seem to raise our game on occasion but the League cup semi final defeat felt a lot like yesterday's game.

Gerrard really needed to appoint a strong assistant who knew the Scottish game inside out like Souness did with Walter and given his lack of experience a better assistant might have made a difference. Kind of clutching at straws this weekend.
