  1. Yes. Assets are owned by the CIC there ard strict asset lock rules
  2. I will assume others are just as bored as yourself and ignore what ever it is that is trying to be said and instead if you have any questions actually about RangersFirst then i will see if i can answer them for you. If you have signed up you should have recieved a copy of the notes from the first presentation.
  3. hence the reason it was in quotation marks " " quoting you You ready to ask a question yet?
  4. You "blame the Schools" for what, maybe inability to phrase questions. Please explain what you want to know about my schooling AND why and i will look at answering a question....simple....we get past this issue then we can move onto the rest.. Over to you.
  5. you missing me are you? still here, still happy to answer any questions, but you have yet to tell me what difference it makes what school I went to?
  6. On your first point this is possible in various ways
  7. it is different in this case as Rangers is a PLC. If you have no more money to buy shares you simply buy no more shares.
  8. To get to 5% there is going to need to be thousands and thousands of your fellow Fans members. It will be upto those members democratically elected to decide what to do if they get past the 5%. I expect not to be involved at that point
  9. I am a volunteer and do not get paid....that ok by you? If you read the Blog about what I have said re fanownership you can see for yourself. I define Fanownership as "Community ownership and Fan Governance" it is all about however many shares a CIC owns them being controlled Democratically and Trasnparently. This could 1% of the Shares or 100% of the shares It will be upto Rangers Fans taking part to decide not me
  10. be specifc, what more do you want to know......dont know what you mean by saying an answer is "soft".
  11. Any more questions? or can you answer just one....do you accept the answers as the final word on the matter?
  12. see the problem is that when i answer a question you seem not to be able to accept the answer. What is in it for me? I believe in Community Ownership and Fan Governance (ergo Fanownership) When i believe in something i am inclined to try and do something about it and work with anyone that is interested in the same things that I am.....and that is what is called job satisfaction....that is what is in it for me. Please let me know if that is good enough for you?
  13. what questions have i not answered? ask away?
  14. well i am interested in why you are interested....transparency and all that.
  15. All supporters trusts are already Co-ops. But what this means is they abide to the seven Coop principals....nothing more. 1. Voluntary and Open Membership 2. Democratic Member Control 3. Members' Economic Participation 4. Autonomy and Independence 5. Education, Training and Information 6. Cooperation among Cooperatives 7. Concern for Community
  16. No the Company controlled by the membership which in turn owns the shares would be a CIC, Rangers legal company status would remain the same.
  17. I have met them, does that count as a connection? still dont get what my education has to do with anything? please explain? I do have an education, though you will notice spelling was not my string point!
  18. Harper Macleod? what was the question?
  19. I think you could do with a wee quiet time reading the Companies Act 2006, that will answer all your Cooption questions. here is the link to the 761 page document http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/46/pdfs/ukpga_20060046_en.pdf feel free to come back with some question based on the interpretation of the legal facts
  20. Morning again. Motherwell Fans do not yet own the shares in their Club. they have however raised £400,000 so far of the (if i remember rightly) £1.5m needed. They have over 1000 people contributing and now have two seats on the Club board elected through their Group IIRC. I have been coopted onto a few boards for very specific short term reasons and then left when the reason I was there was done. That is why orgainsations are legally allowed to co-opt folk, that is the point. I have also been elected onto boards where i have served for several terms. Why have i brought why up after the AGM? As for what you can smell where you are I am sure you can buy something for that! lol
  21. Yes within any sort of Scheme you can proxy shares to it just like you can to anyone else. The issue tends to be that you have to do it every year, and that is a hassle but there are now ways to take the hassle out of it.
  22. they were lovely, and more importantly for everyone else they stopped me talking...brevity has never been a skill
  23. To be fair being co-opted onto things like Trusts and Club Boards as well as non football things like Charities and Sports Give Bodies, is a fairly normal process. It is important to be open and transparent and anything i have been co-opted onto has always been skills based and had quite an intensive interview process, but important to remember your co-option only lasts til the next avaliable AGM. So members always get a democratic say in the end.
  24. All Clubs in Germany , excpt some ex Works team, all Clubs in Sweden and all Clubs in Turkey as for example at least 50plus1% owned by the supporters in various Fanownership models
