Would imagine the mini old firm games might draw in some decent sized crowds so financially it might be good in that way as well as letting players get game time against guys who are physically stronger and older down the leagues. Something like this should have been done years ago.

Brendas signings were actually pretty baws when you analyse them. £2.5m for Kouassi Eboue (played 4 games) Dorus de Vries (played 4 games) Cristian Gamboa undisclosed fee probably around the £1.5-£2m mark (nothing more than squad player) Kolo Touré (played 9 games) Dembele was a signing Delia identified. Scott Sinclair was probably the only good signing he made last season if a few players leave which looks to be the case lets see how he gets on with a team that are his signings not another managers.

Given some of the pish that have been given work permits in Scottish football over the last several years I can't see how two Mexican international players can be turned down. If that turns out to be the case Rangers need to come out all guns blazing asking why Kouassi Eboue who had only started 10 first team games in his eitire career managed to get one for peadodise.

Definitely need a 20 goal a season striker and someone to hit between 10-15 from midfield. Maybe Walker from Hearts (mid) and scout a striker from overseas or maybe someone on loan from England. Also if we can get that and some better back up players to cover for injuries/suspension and players leaving etc I don't think we'll be too far away.

If all the above deals are completed yes I do. You can pretend that signing full international players from a country ranked in the top 20 of world football are somehow cheap signings but it does not make it the case.

I don't believe for one minute that Guadalajara paid $8m for Pena in Dec 2015 just to let him walk away for modest outlay now. Counting the wages he would be on for a fee like that they've probably spent the best part of $9-10m on him. Also considering the fact that Pena has played in world cups and is an international for a country ranked 17th in the world right now I don't see anything to indicate he is a cheap signing. The other two are rumoured to be around the £1m-£1.5m mark again I don't see that as a vast overestimation given they are both under contract and a fee will have to be paid for them. Add that to the money bid for Dorrans and the 500k for Alves if these deals are all completed we are probably looking at the guts of £6m spent so far. Far from modest in Scottish football terms.

Pena was signed for $8m about 18 months back no way is he coming over here on a free he will cost a considerable fee. Herrera is a Mexican international again doubt he's coming here for buttons. Cardoso is highly rated another that won't come cheap. Why not give the board some credit for once?

Getting through 4 rounds of ties before even reaching the group stage would be a huge ask for any team. If we can make the final playoff round that will be an achievement given how little time the team will have to gel together.

I think given the fact that Pena,Dorrens,Herrera and Alves are all full international players its safe to say they will probably be better than some of the league one dross MW signed.

Septic have already lost a £12m player this summer and are desperately hawking Dembele around England right now. Stuart Armstrong is in the final year of his contract as well and might go at some point this season if they cant get him to sign a new deal. Signings wise they are looking at Jonny Hayes right now which I think would indicate they won't have huge money to spend so they will probably come down a bit from last season. Aberdeen are a car crash right now and will be losing most of their better players and maybe manager soon I don't see them as much threat. As for Rangers if we can get most of the signings we've been linked with over the last few weeks we'll be far stronger going into this season than last. Europe might come a bit too early for the squad given the amount of changes that need to be made but I can see us putting in a very strong challenge at the very least next season.

Nonsense. If Rangers sign 11 players this summer who are better than what Aberdeen/Hearts have in every position then we'll finish above them. We don't have to sit around for 3 years to do that. Rangers could still finish level on points with Aberden or only a few points behind given the last 3 fixtures they have and that's with Rangers having a woeful season and them having a good one. Ive seen nothing in Aberdeen vs Rangers games this season that would say they are miles ahead as for the rest we are already above them.
