  1. I felt a bit sorry for Herrera tbh, don't think he got much service at all. Either way he'll probably need a bit of time to settle into Scottish football. I'd like to see more of Morelos, I've only seen him coming on pretty late in games so far. Hopefully he gets a couple of starts some time soon see how he goes.
  2. I kinda get the point he's trying to make (don't really agree with it) but he does talk some shite at times does Dave.
  3. I remember reading transfer news and general football news on there. Seemed amazing back then!
  4. Way too early to tell, we'll learn a bit from the rest of this season but it'll be more next season we get to make a real judgement on him. As for the board, they'll need to back him with some money in the summer if we are to get anywhere close to where we aspire to be. They'll only have played a blinder if the is successful while getting the backing he needs.
  5. Agreed with the 2nd one, at the time I was shouting fuck sake Waggy but when you watch it back afterward it was good play by Gordon.
  6. No chance of it being Bomber, cuz, well, fuck sake wise up lol. No chance of it being Numan as he doesn't meet one of the key criteria in that he won't have a good knowledge of current players and managers in the SPFL. He'll check the other boxes to some extent but not checking the one mentioned might be a deal breaker. McCann would check all the boxes and has been involved in coaching and from things I've heard from him in how he approaches his job as a pundit and the work he puts into that in order to improve he'd meet another part of the criteria Pedro laid out, which is that he wants someone who he can teach to coach how they want the players to be coached and to play how they want the team to play. If it isn't McCann (because I'm not saying it has to be, he's just a name that immediately jumps out at me given the criteria) it'll be someone in a similar mould, who knows the club and what it is like and means to be at Rangers and has a good current knowledge of other Scottish teams and their players and managers.
  7. He played well yesterday and gave their defence some problems. I think he's much better suited to playing through the middle like that also but he's just not consistent enough in front of goal at this level. The 1v1 he had yesterday needs to be buried, the 2nd he missed was pretty good work from Gordon so I can kinda forgive that one but at this level you need a striker that will consistently put at least 1 of those kind of chances in the back of the net. Being good enough for this level was always the worry with Waggy and a lot of the guys who were brought in by Warburton in his first season and unfortunately it turns out many of them aren't.
  8. I know there's people that don't trust him as far as they could throw him (fuck knows this board have a lot of questions to answer) but remember in one of King's statements where he said Warbuton reacted badly to the board wanting to review his transfer activity? Cammy Bell has no real connection or loyalty to Dave King and you've there got 2 people saying basically the same thing. Barton may have always been a prick but it would be hard to fault him for having a go at the team (probably including management) as a whole after that result. I had always put it down to Barton putting that opinion across in the wrong way and then being too stubborn to apologise and being drubbed out and that is probably true to an extent, but now ya think how much of it was to do with Warburton and his dislike of being questioned? The truth of it probably lies in between those 2 things crossing over.
  9. The stat I found quite shocking and horrendous, mainly because I didn't know was that bad is the goal difference between us and the sheep. I knew how bad we were compared to the bheasts but fuck me being that far away from the sheep is unforgivable.
  10. I think expecting to win or even closely challenge for the league was probably too high of an expectation to have. Comfortably finishing 2nd place and being closer to the bheasts than we currently are though I think are very realistic and reasonable expectations. We can definitely still finish 2nd I think, just needs a manager that can actually get some performances and results out of these players for the remainder of the season. Our problem isn't how we do against the mhanks but against the other dross lower down the league that we should realistically expect to beat.
  11. Not having enough money is only a valid excuse for not doing better against Celtic. Warburton spent more money than every other team in the division which is who we've struggled against, lack of funds doesn't fly when you're talking about dropping points against some of the teams we've struggled badly against.
  12. For that to be the case the resignations, board meeting to approve conditions, their new job falling through and then the request to defer the resignations all happened on Monday. Considering MW was down in England talking to someone later in the week I kinda doubt that all happened on Monday. No way they took more time to decline the request to cancel the resignations than they did to decide on waiving compensation the club would be due if these guys went to another club.
  13. I completely agree with you when you say they don't help close the gap on the field to the tarriers that much. It's exactly why said I'm disappointed more money hasn't been made available to spend on bringing in signings with the same sort of monetary value as Joe Garner, the sort of money that would buy a better quality of player than most of what we've brought in. The point of mentioning those other things was to point out that just because the amount of money that has been put in hasn't all went on players doesn't mean it hasn't actually been put in, which is how some people are acting.
  14. Their agent asked if they could basically take their resignation back, which the board were considering. I guess they allowed them to carry on business as usual whilst they made that decision. They should have made that decision faster though because the timing of it all was terrible, should have been decided and all sorted before the press conference.
  15. Wages, money spent fixing things in the stadium, money put into things like RTV and the media guys and general infrastructure of the club and replacing what had been stripped away and restoring what was neglected by the previous regime. I've always got the impression from some people that they thought King was going to deposit £30m into the club bank account in one go to be spent on players. It was never ever going to work that way, at least that is never how I would have expected it to be. What I will say though is that I do find it disappointing that a larger sum of money hasn't been made available up until now to be spent on transfer fees similar to that of the Joe Garner transfer. I'd have liked to see us spend that kind of money on at least a couple of others and that absolutely has to be improved upon if we're going to be even dreaming about challenging for the title any time soon.
