  1. OK I gave Club 1872 the benefit of the doubt and joined, entirely because I've read D'art's posts on here/elsewhere and judged him to be one of the good guys. The fact so many here spoke highly of him told me everything I needed to know. But I'm out with this and will be cancelling my subs. It'll be a cold day in hell before I'm paying Houston's wages.
  2. Mr Hynd left Motherwell FC and took up PE teaching at Dalziel High School in Motherwell. I was a kid in one of his classes, 1979-1980ish. I remember our excitement at the prospect of him coming to our school. I think the Dad's were as excited as their kids were, my old man certainly was. I have many memories of traipsing up to Cleland Estate with him and rest of the class on the knackered old Grangeburn bus. Cleland was where the school had it's sports fields. I dunno why but days out to Cleland were always miserable, wet and freezing cold. Until he came along. Mr Hynd always had a kind word for you, no matter how horrible the weather or how duff you'd been playing. He always encouraged you to try harder. He was really great with the kids, they adored him and hung on his every word. We couldn't wait to go out with him. He was genuinely inspiring. Mr. Hynd was one of those guys you look back on with such affection. It was a real privilege to have been taught by him and I'm so sorry to learn of his passing.
  3. How the hell can simply being on the pitch be defined as disorderly conduct worthy of a lifetime ban ? At least our fans were trying to defend our own players and staff from being assaulted, them being compelled to act in the complete absence of any effective stewarding/policing. A lifetime ban from Ibrox, jeezo, it's an outrageous punishment, miles worse than anything the judicial system could ever come up with. Wtf are they thinking ?
  4. Donation sent. You folks are heroes to sleep out in this weather tonight. Respect.
  5. I see no thread lock. Your plans have gone a-rye.
  6. Ach dinny worry son. It's much a-dough about muffin.
  7. 1 dog tag 1 (m) ring for nlb please (although I see you've reminded yourself, gb, lol) ta v much
  8. DK thinks we'll get £13-14 million in ST sales. But he also wants the new manager to buy players who will still be with us a year or two into the Premiership. Players of that calibre won't come cheap. So it's reasonable to think that most of the ST money will go into buying players very soon. Great. But how will the club sustain itself as we head into the new season ? The merchandise revenue is limited, we'll still be losing money, not a great deal in the scheme of things but a loss is a loss. DK & T3B will cover that, it's marginal to them at those levels. DK thinks we might be able to sort out the shares listing within 3-4 months. So it'll be what, December/January for a new share offering ? Sure, RF & BuyRangers should have a tidy sum stacked up by then. They'll eagerly participate. But we won't need a huge amount of money then, not unless the team is performing miserably and we need new talent urgently. Any money we need at that point is just for general expenses until next Summer. DK will use that opportunity to convert his existing loans into shares, better consolidating his position & that of T3B. The bigger share offering will come this time next year, as we get promoted. DK doesn't actually need to put much money in with this plan. No-one does.
  9. He doesn't sound retarded at all. I'm listening to Paisley right now, plenty interviews on youtube, Paisley's is a slow thoughtful yet confident delivery. Taciturn even lol. Not that I'm comparing Cathro to him, obv. There's just something about Cathro, think he's going places and we need to give him serious consideration.
  10. Cathro's got a very laid back, casual interview style. Thoughtful & reserved, quietly confident, taciturn. Could be a great virtue.
  11. Cathro looks young, promising & talented. Exactly what we should be looking for in our staff & players. Get him signed.
  12. Same , cept with me it's a long term care responsibility, that plus a long hours shitey job. Can't normally justify a ST, tbh, just buy individual tickets if I can. But ... Last few years I've been putting a bit more in than usual, buying shares individually and through RST/RF, doing the Lotto, subscribing (shock horror) to Rangers TV etc. But I'm not buying a shirt this year due to MA/SD, I can't see the virtue of buying shares individually any more (no more IPO / share offers for me, unfort, burnt to a crisp that's me) ... so the only option for me is to actually buy a season ticket even though my fat lardy arse won't be sitting on it half the time. I'll see if I can donate it to a good cause when the time comes, sum1 tellt me you can donate your seat to the army or something. But me buying a ST is just for the club, nothing else should be read into it, it's not a gesture of support for the current regime or anything.
  13. Just hame, about to watch the first half we recorded then I'm away 2 ma bed. We were chronic the night, at one point like statues to be run around, the hesitancy was awful, jeezo real bad. Plus side the Copland was bouncing, brilliant atmosphere. They canny say the support didn't do their bit.
