  1. Bang average player who can't defend and who's final ball nine out of ten times is pish. Never a Rangers captain. We have dropped Tav,Kiernan,Wilson,Hill perhaps it's time the manager had a look at the obvious. Outlived his " stuck by us tag " a long time ago.

    Never been a great player.

Mckay's not been our best player, nowhere near, neither has Miller.

And theres where the problem is. None of this current squad have been consistently good this season so it makes a pretty bang average forward look like a good player.

Just done a bit of googling bud, can't find if he was oldest but the guy had a fantastic career with us.

My late old man seen him play and told me he was the oldest player but he could have been wrong right enough.

  4. There are very few players if any in this current squad who should have their contracts extended. Most if not all have been poor this season so if there is a chance to move anyone on or get rid by not renewing contracts then this has to be done. There is no point in criticising the performances of this whole squad and then plan to keep some of the same squad who are all part of the problem. There is no point in criticising  defences, midfields and forwards and then keeping these guys.Surely no one thinks that all of a sudden they are going to be better next season. If as a club we have any ambition to do better next season we should be looking at better than what we have now not keeping the same as we are only asking for the same result if we do.

For me these 2 should be thanked and moved on both have been great servants but we need the type of quality in the squad that we don't have in both positions

This.Hill not here long enough to be considered as being a great servant but both should be gone at earliest opportunity. Both today were shown up for what they are but weren't alone. Both are part of the problem along with the rest so why keep them when you can get rid as they are out of contract.Very few if any deserve to be kept but the sooner you can get rid of the majority of this squad the better not prolonging the agony by extending the contracts of bang average over the hill players.

  6. Years ago Murray refused to give them any tickets for Ibrox after they had refused to pay for damage caused on previous visit. At the time he was within his rights to do so but I'm pretty sure the rules were changed after that match to ensure a certain amount were allocated to away supporters.Pity the old rules were changed or we could have kept all our own tickets and had none of those scum in Ibrox at all.

We have only conceded 7 more than the filth but scored around 26 less. We remember the goals against because they lose us matches. Some have been howlers right enough but its obvious that our problems are more at the other end of the pitch. Most of the goals against us came in that crazy derby at the start of the season. For a bunch of cheapskates this lot have done well considering our attacking style. The strikers are a lot more at fault this season.

Not getting away from our problems at the back but as you say our finishing up front has been shocking.I read about our defensive frailties and how our midfield is poor but not so much about our piss poor finishing. The game is about scoring more than the opposition and on way to many occasions we have failed to do this all season.MW and Miller have both stated on several occasions that we are not taking our chances yet we worry about defense and our midfield. Our whole front line Waghorn, Garner and Miller have all been guilty of missing good chances all season. While our defense and midfield aren't great our forwards have been shocking at taking the few chances that will come in every game.

I remember people on here thinking Waggy would finish top goal scorer...

Well as it stands just now he is top scorer in all competitions and only one behind Miller in the league.

  9. If Auchenhowie as it's now called had of been used correctly and for the purpose it was built then when MW came in as manager there should have been at least a handful of players ready to make the step up to the first team squad. Not saying they would have been greats but good enough.Unfortunately from the day it was opened it has been used as nothing more than a glorified training ground. The lack of talent is solely down to neglect by previous managers and that includes Walter and Ally along with McCleish.

I'm not being funny but King did say he would spend whatever was needed to get us back where we belong. So far she hasn't delivered on that promise. I didn't expect him to spend his kids inheritance but he shouldn't have lied about heavily investing.

I'll be honest I was delighted when King and the others got in and took over from the charlatans but I'm fast going off him. He needs to put his money where his mouth is or the fans will start rebelling again. My worry is then who comes in his place. It's a mess :depressed:

To be as far behind celtic as we are is totally unacceptable IMO. No matter where we've been. We need players and we need them now so that at the start of next season they have gelled and we are ready to challenge for the title.

I don't think anyone is being funny it's a serious business but like most business men what they say and what you get are two different things bit like MPs.It's pretty clear that he is not going to stump up personally the amounts he said or some want and by the looks of it neither are any of the other shareholders as he is not the only shareholder. As you have pointed out your worry is who comes in to replace him if anyone. As far as I can see I dont see anyone else willing to take the gamble and buy DK or anyone else out and also put in the required amount some want to bolster the squad immediately to mount a challenge to the scum.Who,where are these people willing to put their money up.No harm to Walter but talks cheap as we already know. It's someone who is willing to take a massive gamble and put their money where their mouths are and invest in Rangers and Scottish football we need not yet more talk about could haves and should have beens and I don't see this person/institution arriving anytime soon.Perhaps we all have to realise including Walter that Rangers and Scottish football in general are not such an appealing investment to the people who have the real amounts of money required.

15m spent wisely and from your hero King

My hero aye don't try and put words in my mouth. So that's it from King.Well I think we all know that's not on the cards from the current shareholders so what's your plan b.Where's your 15 million coming from.Realistic answer please.

    No euro football - exactly

how do you get CL football? By hoping guys like Halliday, Kiernan, Holt, Garner, Dodoo, Windass etc become amazing over night ?

    Or you spend - wisely

    yes "get real" indeed

And how much in your opinion will be required for a manager to spend wisely to get us CL football and where is it going to come from whatever this amount is.

Yes, I agree but I blame the intransigence of Warburton. Boyd was given the service to score poachers' goals as was McCoist. Novo was more like a better verion of Barrie. Boyd and Miller, McCoist and Hateley, Millar and Brand. Notice any pattern here? Jim Forrest was different but he had two wingers who could get their crosses past the first defender!

as I said in answer to jackrfc we have created chances all season we have not been putting those chances away and Saturday against the scum was yet another example of that. When those few chances come along they need to be put in the back of the net and our front line has not been doing it.The stats/facts don't lie we are not scoring enough goals because we are not putting the chances away.

  14. Just now, Corky True Legend said:

    Who would you suggest then?

I tell you what if you pay me x amount of hundreds of thousands I will find you one.Doesnt have to cost millions as was proved with Boyd and Novo to score goals in this pish league. The manager has repeatedly said that we are not taking our chances,Kenny himself has said we are not taking our chances so something isn't working up front, surely you must agree.

  15. Just now, Corky True Legend said:

As I have said before, relace the non-performers first. We do not have the wherewithal to replace all the team. If you add Fod and Barrie (who seems to be returning to form) to Miller and Hill, you have a balance. If you are looking to replace Miller with a more prolific scorer, maybe we could get Dele Alli from Spurs.

Maybe not Dele Alli maybe just another younger version of Boyd or Ally someone who will give us goals which our front line aren't doing which includes Kenny.

You can't build a team round young players unless you have a manager of the quality of Busby. They are, in general, not mature enough to handle the pressure. If you were talking about 11 over 30's you would have a valid point but not with 2, especially as one is at the front and one at the back.

My point is we need young men in to replace guys at 37 plus. They have done their jobs it is time for the manager and club to look forward and replace these guys sooner rather than later. They are not the only ones who should be moved on but if as a club we have any ambition at all to do better next season and there after we have to start now and bring players who will give us a better long term future than guys who are of the ages of Hill and Miller. Why pay two guys more wages when it surely could be used to bring in younger better players who will give us a better return in the longer term.
