thats alright then, ill just stop there - cheers

wanted to tbf, but the party starts at like 6 so wouldn't have time to get back to EK from Ibrox. annoying as its normally a 2.5hr drive for me to get to games and i'll only be about 20mile away when we play

Just go to the party a wee bit later. Even with traffic you can get from Ibrox to East Kilbride probably by 6pm, 30 mins to get ready and bobs your uncle.

If I thought Livi would try, I would root for them, but we all know what will happen here, hopefully I'm wrong 😏

I do believe Morton will try their best though. Would be nice to see them get through.

Blows my mind that anyone actively follows football and thinks team don’t try.

I can't get my head around the fact that he has ability but he seems hell bent on fucking his career up by having a lazy attitude to the bare minerals of the game...fucking mystified why he hasn't realised that ability alone will only take you so far:furious:

No different to any other job. We’ve probably all worked with people who could be a lot better at their job but choose not to put the effort in.

I doubt anyone foreseen at the start of the 2021 season that we'd sell Bassey for 20 million the next summer. The list is small but there are a number of players aged 21-25 that we have that could turn out that way too: Raskin, Cantwell, Danilo, Cifuentes, Ridvan. Obviously they need to step it up to get those big bids first. It also means the board need to be a bit more ruthless and sell the players at their peak; we missed the boat on Morelos and Kent.

celtic, on the face of it, appear to have the model we're looking for in that they manage to sell a player each year for £10 million+ and have done going back to Dembele (although there's probably a lot of shite they sign and sold for less that gets overlooked when they sell one for a big fee).

The thing is though that if someone, let’s say Dessers just for the example, caught fire from now onwards and scored 20 goals between now and 31st January and dragged us back into the title race.

If the board then sold him to Ajax or whoever for €20m in the middle of a title race we would all lose our shit.

If they kept him until the end of the season the form might disappear/could get injured then you are back to square one.

I’m not blaming us as fans I’m just saying it’s not as easy to just sell players.

Maybe cause gerrard had more authority over the players, they seen gerrard as the gaffer, they maybe see beale as a coach/pal

Agreed. It’s becoming clearer by the day that saying Beale was the reason behind the Gerrard success would be like saying Ally was the brains behind Walters success the second time around.

    I'm done

    Get Graham Potter

I came on here to say the exact same thing. He should he the number one target if and when we look for a replacement. Normally an ex-Chelsea manager would be out with our reach but he didn’t have a huge career before there and I think he could be brought in.

Also as that sort of head coach role he (short term) fits the role as he’s going to need with someone else’s players but longer term I’m sure he could be an old fashioned manager.

Taking a shot from outside the box instead of trying to walk the ball in to the net would be a start. We seemed to have two tactics yesterday, neither of which worked. The first was for one of the fullbacks to cross the ball in to the box, only for the Killie defence to easily head the ball away or the keeper to make a catch. The second was to work the ball centrally and try an intricate one-two with our furthest forward player at the edge of a packed box. We were trying to thread the ball through an eye of a needle. We needed more shots from distance.

I don’t mind the constant crosses but at least change it up a bit. We kept doing this big high deep looping ball and you don’t even give your strikers a chance to show their movement when you do that. Even drill a few low crosses in just anything different.

Said this before in another thread! People moaning about the pitch or using it as an excuse for last night would do well to remember the scum scored 13 times on that pitch in 3 games last season. It’s hardly fucking Barcelona we are playing.

I mind a few years ago they were bringing in the dimensions to make it narrower against us….I’m not sure if you are still allowed to do that or if you need to have a set size for the season. I’m sure I read the rule changed at some point.

Again I know that reads like I’m making excuses but I’m really not I’m just saying we need to be better at adapting.

  9. I’m not a big fan of using the pitch as an excuse and that’s not what I’m trying to do here but MB has to think about doing something different in the lead up to games at Rugby Park. That’s 4 times we’ve lost down there when he’s either been involved as a coach or a manager.

I don’t even know what the answer is as to what he could do differently to prepare but at the end of the day that’s what he gets paid the wages for.

SPFL want clubs to have screens so fans can be updated. Think every club in the Premiership has installed some for of screens for that purpose.

Not seen any screens at Livingston, St Mirren, Kilmarnock, Ross County, Motherwell, St Johnstone.

Apart from that though you are spot on…….

Not any impact on this, but he seemed a bit of a knob.

Walked into a movie screen in Glasgow, maybe 12 rows deep, I clocked him but didn't make it obvious in the slightest.

Once the movie was over I waited outside the screen to speak to him, shook his hand and said it was a pleasure to meet him. Let him know I loved the Rangers and didn't ask for a picture. Just walked on.

Nobody else was there and but he still moaned like fuck at me for waiting on him to leave suggesting I was bringing attention to him...I waited about 2 minutes.

He was potentially over sensitive due to previous interactions but just left a sour taste in my mouth.

Forest Gump was a more believable story than this.

Any attaking player is taking that himself.

    Hindsight is a wonderfull thing

And yet Son, one of the worlds top strikers, chose to pass instead of shooting last night and left his team one up.

Amad probably didn’t have as much time to see the pass but you could say that the decision he made is probably indicative as to why he is out on loan instead of playing for his own clubs first team.

  13. Now that we are back in the game do you think we can try to stop some of the reactionary nonsense and talking about building a squad/selling players/subbing players after just 10 mins. If we drop points then fair enough go at the players but the posts on here in the first 10 mins were mental.

If you think of the great man we are celebrating and mourning tonight how many times did his teams go behind and eventually come back to dig out results in the 90s and 00s.

At times I think we need to give the players and manager a wee bit more time, games are 90 mins long.
